The Marvel Rivals Version 20241219 patch notes list fixes for tournament and faction issues, map loading and collisions, hero abilities, duplicate-character appearances, and console crashes linked to insufficient memory. The update was scheduled for December 19, 2024, as a no-downtime release, so players could continue playing while it rolled out. One network-related map-loading issue was only partially resolved, and collision fixes were still being monitored.
When the update and Winter Celebration were scheduled
The Version 20241219 update was scheduled for December 19, 2024, at 09:00 UTC. The official notes said players could keep playing when the no-downtime update was released.
The Winter Celebration itself was scheduled to run from December 20, 2024, at 07:00 UTC, through January 9, 2025, at 15:59:59 UTC. These are historical dates; the event has ended.
General, tournament, and faction fixes
- Corrected how tournament rounds were displayed.

- Addressed access to historical faction interfaces after top factions disbanded.
- Fixed faction scheduling problems after players exited a tournament.
- Corrected Squirrel Girl achievement tracking for qualifying knockouts caused by delayed damage.
Network, map, and convoy fixes
Map loading under poor network conditions
The notes describe this issue as partially resolved, not fully fixed. The developers said they would continue analyzing it, so players could still encounter map-loading problems in poor network conditions.
