Its central clash is simple: vampire cards steal Power from opponents, while zombie cards add Power to a shared Zombie Horde. The announcement promises a packed October, but whether the season is “very fun” depends on whether you enjoy those strategies and the game’s rotating events.
How the Vampire and Zombie strategies differ
The season’s defining mechanic is the Zombie Horde, a shared pool of Power. When a card effect says “Horde +N,” it adds that amount to the pool. The official season announcement identifies Zombie Blade, Zombie Venom, Zombie Nova and the Undead Metropolis location as ways to grow it. That gives the zombie side a team-building focus: several cards and a location can contribute to one shared resource.
Vampire cards instead take Power from the opponent’s cards. The two themes therefore offer different tactical goals—building the Horde or weakening an opposing card—rather than simply reskinning the same effect. The details of each card determine how those plans work in a match.
Season-pass cards and the Web Shop bonus
| Card | Announced acquisition route | Announced effect |
|---|---|---|
| Vampire Killmonger | Series 5 Premium Season Pass card | At the end of a turn in which you spent all your Energy, it gains a Vampiric Spear. The Spear’s On Reveal steals 2 Power from a character in the opponent’s hand. |
| Zombie Blade | Series 5 Super Premium Season Pass card | At the end of a turn in which you used an On Reveal, the Zombie Horde steals 1 Power from a character in the opponent’s hand. |
The official announcement says a direct Web Shop purchase of the Premium or Super Premium Season Pass qualifies for the season’s stated bonus, which includes a Series 5 SNAP Pack. Its stated steps are to log into the game during the season, buy through the Web Shop, reload the client and claim the rewards. Upgrading from Premium to Super Premium through the Web Shop does not trigger the bonus. Check the current offer terms before buying, since offers can change. MARVEL SNAP’s season announcement.

|---|---|---|
| October 6 | Zombie Venom | Destroys the first other card here; when another card is destroyed, Horde +2. |
| October 13 | Vampire Enchantress | For each different Cost among your cards in play, steals 1 Power from an enemy card here. |
| October 20 | Zombie Black Cat | When discarded, discards another “When Discarded” card and jumps to the location with the fewest cards. |
| October 27 | Vampire Deacon Frost | Completes an objective to give three cards stolen Power, then transforms into Crimson Behemoth, which steals all Power from a front-row enemy card here. |
Two additional cards are listed as limited-time event Series 4 cards: Zombie Nova adds Horde +3 On Reveal and when destroyed; Vampire America Chavez steals Power from the top card of the opponent’s deck for each location you are winning. Access is tied to their relevant events, so check the live game for availability.

How to think about card access
The season announcement describes the pass and event routes, while the official Seasonal Card Acquisition Guide explains broader acquisition rules. It says standard season-pass cards are exclusive to the pass track during their active season and enter the Series 5 pool the following season. It describes Seasonal Series 5 packs as costing 5,000 Tokens and being chance-based unless the card sought is the only unowned card remaining in that Series. Because that guide’s displayed update age was 208 days when accessed, recheck the live guide and game before spending Tokens.

The announced content gives the season a clear hook and a varied calendar: a shared Horde-building mechanic, opposing Power-theft effects, weekly card releases, two locations and several rotating modes. Players who like assembling synergies around a shared resource may find the zombie side appealing; players who prefer disrupting an opponent’s Power may be drawn to the vampire cards. Those are reasons for interest, not evidence that every player will enjoy the season. The official announcement describes planned content, not player reactions or measured enjoyment.
