What does Horde do in Marvel SNAP?
Horde is a shared pool of Power for your Zombie Horde—not Power assigned to one card. The official October 2, 2026 season announcement puts it simply: “Whenever a Zombie card says ‘Horde +N,’ it’s adding Power directly to a shared pool that grows as the game goes on.” Zombie Venom and Zombie Nova add to that pool, and the new Undead Metropolis location is also designed to feed it.
The season’s cards approach that system in different ways: some generate Horde, some convert it into an effect, and others pursue theft or use familiar destroy and discard interactions. The announced text describes the intended mechanics; it does not by itself establish how strong a deck built around them will be.
Which new Marvel SNAP cards are in the October 2026 season?
Second Dinner announced eight new cards across the month. The schedule and ability descriptions below reflect the official announcement as of October 8, 2026; future dates are scheduled availability, not confirmation that a card is already obtainable.

How do the new cards fit their deck plans?
Horde and destroy
Zombie Venom’s first-card destruction and Horde gain when another of your cards is destroyed connect the season’s shared-pool mechanic to destroy decks. Zombie Nova also adds Horde when destroyed, while Zombie Blade can turn Horde into Power theft when its On Reveal condition is met. These are distinct roles: Venom and Nova build the pool through destroy-related play, while Blade supplies a conditional payoff.

There is relevant developer context, but it is not proof of results. In its October 1, 2026 balance update, Second Dinner said Destroy remained weaker and less represented than desired for a core archetype and linked planned changes to the upcoming Zombie Venom. That statement explains the design timing; it does not establish that the new card or changes made Destroy competitive.
Power theft
The Vampire cards express the season’s other main identity, though their triggers differ. Vampire Killmonger asks you to spend all your Energy and supplies a Spear; Vampire Enchantress checks the different Costs among your cards in play; Deacon Frost’s transformation requires three of your cards to steal Power first; America Chavez counts locations you are winning and targets the top character of the opponent’s deck. Consider the condition and target when deciding whether a card fits an existing list rather than treating “steal Power” as one interchangeable effect.

Discard
Zombie Black Cat is the season’s clearest discard-oriented addition: its announced ability triggers on being discarded, discards another card with a “When Discarded” effect, then jumps to your location with the fewest cards. Its value therefore depends on having a deck that can use the additional discard and on whether that destination suits your board.
What new locations are coming, and when?
The season announcement also schedules two locations. As of October 8, both dates are in the future.

Undead Metropolis directly supports Horde generation, while Crimson Citadel offers a separate theft effect. Their scheduled premiere dates are from the official season announcement and may warrant checking again if you are reading this after October 2026.

Zombie Venom was announced as a Series 5 Seasonal SNAP Pack card and released on October 6, 2026. That is its stated acquisition route; it is not the Season Pass card. The other routes in this roster are the Premium Season Pass for Vampire Killmonger, the Super Premium Season Pass for Zombie Blade, Seasonal SNAP Packs for the other Series 5 cards, and limited-time events for the two Series 4 cards. Event timing for Zombie Nova and Vampire America Chavez is described as part of the October calendar rather than a specific date in the cited announcement.

The announcement also describes a web-shop bonus for Premium or Super Premium Pass purchases made directly through the web shop: log in during the season, reload the client, and claim the rewards. Upgrading from Premium to Super Premium does not trigger that bonus. Since this is a time-sensitive purchasing detail, check the current in-game or official season information before relying on it.
Is Vampire Killmonger worth the Season Pass?
The available official information is not enough to call Vampire Killmonger a must-buy or to rank it competitively. No verified win rate, usage rate, tournament result, or independent performance test for the full season roster is established here, and several cards had not yet released as of October 8. The decision is personal: weigh the card’s all-Energy-spent condition and hand-targeting effect against whether you want the Premium Season Pass and whether that mechanic fits decks you enjoy playing. The same caution applies to the Super Premium Pass and individual card acquisitions; announced text alone cannot establish value for your collection.
