Does Midnight Suns support Windows 11?
2K’s Windows 11 compatibility note, updated October 1, 2025, lists some games but does not include Midnight Suns. The note cautions that an unlisted game may still run on Windows 11, and says Compatibility Mode may help in some cases. It does not explicitly confirm Midnight Suns compatibility or provide a title-specific Windows 11 fix. See 2K’s Windows 11 compatibility note for its general guidance.
How to troubleshoot a Midnight Suns launch crash
- Record what happens. Note whether the game closes immediately, displays an error, or exits after the launcher. Write down the exact error text and when it appears; those details can help narrow down the problem.
- Check requirements and free space. Compare your processor, RAM, graphics card, Windows edition, DirectX version, and available storage with the table above. If your PC is at or below minimum specifications, that may be relevant to the failure.
- Update Windows and your graphics driver. Install available Windows updates and check for a current driver through your graphics-card manufacturer’s official channel. 2K’s PC general troubleshooting guide says outdated drivers can affect compatibility, stability, and whether a game launches.
- Clear the launcher cache. 2K recommends clearing the cache as an early troubleshooting step because temporary files can become corrupt or unnecessary. Follow the launcher-specific instructions in the 2K PC troubleshooting guide; the exact procedure depends on the launcher you use.
- If you use Steam, verify the installed files. In Steam, open Library, right-click Marvel’s Midnight Suns, choose Properties, select Installed Files, and click Verify integrity of game files. Steam will check for corrupted files. This option is for Steam installations; 2K’s steps are in its Steam general troubleshooting guide.
- Temporarily close possible conflicts. Close overlays and nonessential background programs, then try launching again. 2K identifies VPNs, antivirus or other security software, firewalls, and overlays as potential sources of interference. If security software appears to be involved, use a narrow exception for the game rather than leaving protection disabled.
- Test without mods or controllers if relevant. If you have mods installed, remove them temporarily; 2K says mods are not tested for compatibility. You can also disconnect controllers and retry to check whether a device conflict is involved. Both suggestions appear in the 2K Steam troubleshooting guide.
- Reinstall only if earlier checks fail. A reinstall can refresh game files and obtain updates, but it takes longer than the earlier checks. 2K lists it as an option when simpler troubleshooting, including clearing the cache, has not resolved the issue.

If the game still will not start, contact 2K customer support, listed by Steam as the support provider for Midnight Suns. Include a concise description of the crash, when it happens, and any exact error message. 2K’s instructions for attaching DxDiag and MSInfo files explain how to provide reports describing your PC’s hardware and software environment, which can help support investigate the problem.
