Does demo progress carry over to the full game?
SEGA’s Metaphor: ReFantazio FAQ says demo save data can be used to continue in the full version, preserving story and character status on supported versions. The FAQ includes platform-specific qualifications, so its general statement should not be read as confirmation for every platform combination.
For the newly released Switch 2 demo, Switch 2-to-Switch 2 save transfer was not confirmed in the available reporting. Until ATLUS, SEGA, or Nintendo confirms it, do not assume that your Switch 2 demo save will transfer to the Switch 2 full game.
