Pocket Gamer’s Metria tier list, updated October 5, 2026 for version 6.1.0, ranks character entries from S to B. It adds [Green Hammer Knight] Popodero and [Purple Piercer Knight] Zescole. These are Pocket Gamer’s editorial judgments, not official or statistically measured rankings; variant names matter because different versions can have different elements and playstyles.
Metria tier list: placements by tier
The following entries preserve Pocket Gamer’s names and tier assignments rather than merging repeated base-character names into one ranking. Some labels are incomplete or inconsistent on the source page, so treat uncertain spellings as reported and check the in-game roster for the exact variant.

What the tiers mean in practice
Pocket Gamer describes Metria as an action-focused game where players switch characters during fast battles, and says spacing, dodging, damage, and move use all matter. It limits its ranking to S, A, and B because it considers the roster small and says it found no outright bad characters. The tiers therefore express the publication’s experience-based assessment, not a universal result that will hold for every team or matchup.

Its character commentary points to several practical distinctions:
- Range and debuffs: Aru is praised for ranged attacks, stats, and early availability. Shash is also ranged and can apply debuffs that help a melee teammate after a switch.
- Ease of use: Rio is described as intuitive and easy to learn, although Pocket Gamer considers his stats unremarkable.
- Role: Pocket Gamer describes Lunaria as the game’s only magic user, offering a different approach from the more consistent melee and ranged patterns it sees elsewhere. That description may change as the roster changes.
- Close-range debuffing: Zescole is characterized as a melee debuffer with good stats, able to exploit debuffs at closer range.
- Damage and durability versus speed: Popodero is presented as slower and suited to players who favor damage and durability; Begius is described as defensive and durable.
Why variants should not be collapsed into one rating
A base character and an alternate version may be meaningfully different build choices. Pocket Gamer notes that SSR versions can change both playstyle and element, citing Solid Aqua Shield Begius as a water-element example. That is why the list includes some character names more than once and why one version’s tier should not automatically be applied to every version of the same character.
Elemental matchups also affect damage, while tarot cards occupy upgrade slots and can provide character- or affinity-specific boosts. A tier placement is therefore only one input: the relevant version, its element, its upgrades, and the enemy matchup all affect how useful a character feels in a particular team.
How to use this list when choosing a team
- Confirm the exact version. Match the full variant name in the roster rather than relying only on a base character name. Pocket Gamer’s page includes spellings such as “Zescole” and “Zescol,” and “Bel” and “Bell”; verify uncertain entries in the live game or official notices.
- Choose for the role your team needs. Consider whether you need range, debuffs, magic, close-range pressure, durability, or a more approachable character to learn.
- Account for matchup and upgrades. Compare elemental interactions and tarot-card effects, not just the tier label.
- Check availability in the game. An announcement establishes that a character or banner was announced, not that a particular offer remains obtainable.
Version and recent character announcements
Asobimo’s official news listing includes October 1, 2026 notices concerning Popodero and Zescole, a Limit Break update for them, and a Wind Element SSR character select gacha. These notices confirm announcements and dates, but do not establish that the gacha is still live. Check the game for current availability. The official listing also includes September 15 notices for Lunaria and an event dungeon.
