Yes—on PS5, the Ultimate Edition includes all three DLC chapters made for the original Marvel’s Spider-Man through its bundled copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. It does not come with a separately identified DLC expansion for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Older physical copies require extra caution because the Remastered download is supplied by voucher code, and the US product listing shows that code’s expiration date as January 1, 2024.
What the PS5 Ultimate Edition actually contains
The name can be confusing because the package is built around two different games. The PS5 Ultimate Edition contains:

- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PS5
The PlayStation Store describes Remastered as the complete original game, including all three chapters of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps. You can verify that wording on the official PlayStation Store listing.

That means the DLC is attached to the original Peter Parker game, not to the Miles Morales campaign. Buying Ultimate gives you a way to play the original game and its story expansion on PS5, alongside the standalone Miles Morales game.

Which DLC is included?
The City That Never Sleeps chapters
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered contains all three chapters of The City That Never Sleeps. These are the story expansions released for the PS4 version of the original Marvel’s Spider-Man. They are part of Remastered rather than a separate add-on that you must purchase afterward.
Insomniac’s support answer is explicit: “Yes! Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered includes all of the content released for the PS4 game.” Read the complete answer in Insomniac’s DLC support article.
What is not identified as included
The official bundle descriptions do not list a separate DLC pack for Miles Morales. The Miles Morales game is included as its own title, while the “all three chapters” language refers to the original game inside Remastered. Therefore, interpret “all DLC” as the original game’s expansion content, not as a promise of additional Miles Morales story episodes.

Ultimate versus Standard editions
Insomniac’s version guide distinguishes the editions by the games supplied, not by different Miles Morales campaigns. The practical difference is whether you receive Remastered.
| Edition | Included game(s) | Original Spider-Man DLC | Download issue to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS5 Standard | Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales | Not included as part of the standard package | No Remastered voucher is supplied with the edition itself |
| PS5 Ultimate | Miles Morales plus Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered | All three The City That Never Sleeps chapters through Remastered | Physical copies use a voucher download; verify that an older code is redeemable |
| PS4 Standard | Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales | Not included as part of the standard package | Edition does not bundle the PS5 Remastered game |
The edition distinctions above follow Insomniac’s version guide. Digital-store presentation and physical packaging can vary by region, so check the listing for the country in which your PlayStation account is registered.

How the physical Ultimate Edition delivers Remastered
The PS5 disc version does not necessarily place Remastered directly on the game disc. The US PlayStation Direct listing says that a PlayStation Network account and broadband connection are required to download Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. It also states: “Code expires 01/01/24.” See the official PS5 disc listing.
That date has passed. The listing does not establish that a code remains redeemable after its printed expiration, nor does it guarantee that every sealed, used or third-party copy still includes a valid voucher. Treat the code as a separate purchase risk when evaluating an older physical copy.

- A sealed box is not proof that the voucher will work after the listed date.
- A used copy may have had the code removed or redeemed by the previous owner.
- A disc can still be present and playable while the Remastered entitlement is unavailable.
- The expiration statement is specific to the US PlayStation Direct listing; another region’s packaging may use different terms.
Do not assume that customer support, a retailer or a seller can replace an expired or already-redeemed voucher. Ask for confirmation of code status and keep any return rights before opening a marketplace purchase.
How to check an older physical copy before buying
- Identify the exact edition. Confirm that the box says PS5 Ultimate Edition, not PS5 Standard or a Miles Morales-only bundle.
- Check the region. Voucher redemption is tied to PlayStation Network account and product-region rules. A US code may not work on an account registered elsewhere.
- Ask whether the voucher is present. For a used copy, request a photograph of the voucher area with the code concealed, plus a written confirmation that it has never been redeemed.
- Read the printed terms. Look for the expiration date and any statement about an account, internet connection or regional restriction.
- Confirm the seller’s return policy. You need a remedy if the code is expired, missing or rejected at redemption.
- Redeem before relying on the bundle. On your PS5, open PlayStation Store, select the account menu, choose “Redeem Codes,” enter the 12-character code and follow the prompts. The Remastered entitlement should appear in your game library if the code is accepted.
Do not publish a voucher code in a listing photo or send it to an unknown buyer for “verification.” A code can be redeemed only once, so protect it until the sale is final.
Digital Ultimate Edition: the simpler ownership path
A digital Ultimate purchase ties both games to the PlayStation Network account that completes the transaction. There is no paper voucher to lose, remove from a used box or accidentally redeem on another account. After purchase, check your library for both Miles Morales and Spider-Man Remastered; download the Remastered version separately if it is not installed automatically.

Common misunderstandings about “all DLC”
“Ultimate” does not mean every future Spider-Man product
The bundle description defines the included content. It covers the original PS4 game’s released content through Remastered and the Miles Morales game. It is not a general license for later games, later editions or unannounced content.
The three chapters are not Miles Morales expansions
The three chapters belong to The City That Never Sleeps, which is associated with the original Peter Parker adventure. If your goal is extra playable story specifically for Miles, the Ultimate package description does not identify a separate Miles Morales DLC campaign.
Launch bonuses are different from story DLC
When Sony announced the launch bundle, it described voucher codes for Remastered and separate US and Canadian launch vouchers for specified pre-order bonuses. Those limited-time bonuses should not be counted as the three story chapters. The story DLC is included because it is part of Remastered; a launch costume or other promotional item follows different eligibility rules. The original announcement is available on the PlayStation Blog.

“Code has already been used”
Sign out of any alternate PlayStation account and confirm that you are redeeming on the account intended to own the game. If the message remains, the voucher was likely redeemed previously. Contact the retailer or seller while the return window is open; a disc alone does not supply the digital Remastered entitlement.

“Code is invalid” or “cannot be redeemed in your region”
Recheck each character, including letters that resemble numbers, and verify the account’s country against the voucher’s region. Do not repeatedly guess at a damaged code. Photograph the receipt, box, voucher and error message before contacting PlayStation support or the retailer.
The code is expired
The US physical listing gives January 1, 2024 as the expiration date. Because the listing does not promise post-expiration redemption, there is no supported assurance that the download will activate. Request a refund or exchange from the seller rather than counting on an exception.
Remastered is missing after redemption
Open Game Library, search for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and check the transaction history for the account that entered the code. If the entitlement is visible but the download button is absent, restart the PS5 and refresh licenses under Settings, Users and Accounts, Other, then Restore Licenses. If the entitlement never appears, preserve your proof of purchase and contact the store or PlayStation support.
Which version should you choose?
Choose Ultimate when you want both complete games
Ultimate is the appropriate package when you want to play Miles Morales and also want the original Peter Parker game with its three story chapters on PS5. A digital copy avoids the uncertainty attached to an old physical voucher.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsChoose Standard when you only want Miles Morales
Standard is sufficient if your interest is limited to the Miles Morales campaign and you do not need the original game or its The City That Never Sleeps chapters. You can then decide separately whether obtaining the original game makes sense for your library.
Be cautious with discounted used Ultimate copies
A low price may reflect the fact that the Remastered code has already been redeemed or expired. Compare the seller’s total price with a current digital listing, and value the package as “Miles Morales plus a disc” unless the Remastered entitlement is verified.
Bottom line
The PS5 Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition includes the original Marvel’s Spider-Man and all three The City That Never Sleeps DLC chapters because they are included in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. The official descriptions do not list separate DLC for Miles Morales. For a physical copy, make the voucher’s redemption status part of the purchase decision: the US listing gives it a January 1, 2024 expiration date, and an expired or redeemed code can leave you with Miles Morales but no Remastered download.
