Mina the Hollower Trinkets: Best Picks for Survival, Movement, Damage, and Farming

By VGSources Team 11 min read

There is no single best Trinket in Mina the Hollower. The strongest choice depends on the problem you are trying to solve. Use Proto Spark for a one-time death save, Primed Vial Pouch for extra healing capacity, Keri the Wisp or Spring Heels for movement, Lace Glove or Chain Capacitor for damage, and Deboning Wand when you are farming Bones. These are role-based recommendations from published item effects and guide suggestions, not a developer ranking or a controlled performance test.

What Trinkets do in Mina the Hollower

Trinkets are equipable items that grant special effects. Yacht Club Games describes them as a way to “collect and equip Trinkets to acquire a variety of exotic effects.” They can change how Mina survives damage, traverses rooms, attacks enemies, or gathers resources.

The June 25, 2026 Mina Guide lists 60 Trinkets. They are optional for completing the game and can come from shops, NPC quests, boss rewards, hidden chests, minigames, and area-specific challenges. Because the effects cover different jobs, a damage item that is excellent for a practiced boss run may be worse than a defensive item during a first exploration attempt.

Trinket slots are limited at the beginning. The Trinket Bag upgrade increases the maximum number of slots, so treating your loadout as something to change between routes is more useful than searching for one permanent setup.

Best Trinkets by role

Need Best starting pick Alternative Why it fits Main condition or trade-off
First clears and general survival Proto Spark Primed Vial Pouch Proto Spark prevents one death; the pouch adds two Plasma Vials Proto Spark resets only after it saves you; vials are consumable healing
Pit-heavy routes Pit Preserver Evasion Powder Recovers from pits or water and reduces pit damage Useful mainly where falling is the dominant danger
Exploration and mobility Keri the Wisp Spring Heels Air control or a stronger jump solves traversal problems Spring Heels is a later shop option; Keri costs 500 Bones in the listed route
Reliable damage Lace Glove Chain Capacitor Attack increase versus a stacking damage bonus Chain Capacitor loses its buildup when you miss
Sidearm-focused combat Draining Beastium Windfall Charm More Sidearm damage or a Joules-to-Plasma loop Draining Beastium consumes more Joules; Windfall depends on collecting Joules
Bone farming Deboning Wand Watchful Eye More Bones from enemies or a bonus for clean defeats Deboning Wand makes Bones bounce; Watchful Eye requires taking no hit

Best Trinkets for survival and first clears

Proto Spark: the best safety net for a first attempt

Proto Spark saves Mina from death once. After it activates, it resets after a death, so it is not a permanent extra life and cannot be treated as unlimited protection. Its value is highest when you are learning an unfamiliar boss, route, or hazard pattern: one mistake does not immediately end the attempt.

Use Proto Spark when the likely failure is a single lethal mistake rather than gradual attrition. It is less helpful if you routinely lose health through many small hits and reach the final room with no healing left.

Primed Vial Pouch: the simplest sustain upgrade

Primed Vial Pouch carries two extra Plasma Vials. Using a vial always restores some health, making the item a straightforward choice for long routes and boss approaches where you expect several damage exchanges.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Choose it over Proto Spark when you are surviving individual hits but running out of healing before the end. The pouch improves your reserve; it does not prevent damage or rescue a lethal fall.

Pit Preserver: for falls, water, and vertical hazards

Pit Preserver bounces Mina upward after she falls into a pit or water, gives her a chance to recover, and reduces pit damage. It is particularly effective in areas where platforming mistakes are more dangerous than enemy attacks.

Its value is situational. On a combat-heavy route with safe floors, another defensive or offensive Trinket will usually affect more encounters. Swap it in when the map repeatedly tests recovery from drops.

Evasion Powder: more time after taking a hit

Evasion Powder extends Mina’s invulnerability after damage and briefly extends it after she emerges from a burrow. That extra interval can prevent a second contact hit while you reposition, but it does not make Mina immune to every attack.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

It suits players who often take consecutive hits in crowded rooms. It is less important if your main problem is a single unavoidable lethal attack or a missed jump.

Twill Weave: a plain defensive increase

Twill Weave raises Defense by one level. The available descriptions do not quantify the exact damage reduction, so treat it as a general defensive option rather than a precisely measured percentage improvement.

Best Trinkets for movement and exploration

Keri the Wisp: early air control

With Keri the Wisp equipped, pressing Jump while airborne lets Mina float and extend her fall. The June 2026 guide lists it for 500 Bones at Poppit in the Southern Outskirts, making it a clear early traversal recommendation when that shop route is available.

Use the float to correct a jump, line up a landing, or spend more time over a gap. It does not create a second jump; its benefit is controlled descent and extra correction time.

Spring Heels: a stronger jump after landing

Spring Heels gives Mina a longer, higher jump when she jumps after landing. It is listed as a later shop item, so availability depends on progression and shop access. It is a strong replacement for Keri when the route demands reaching higher ledges rather than adjusting an airborne fall.

Tunneling Codex: continuous burrowing

Holding Jump with Tunneling Codex equipped enables repeated burrowing without landing. This is useful on routes built around chaining underground movement, bypassing exposed floors, or maintaining momentum through compatible terrain.

The item is not a universal speed increase. If the route offers few burrowable surfaces, the slot may be better spent on defense or damage.

Wallower’s Gauntlets: access through compatible walls

Wallower’s Gauntlets let Mina burrow into compatible walls, opening traversal through walls that would otherwise block her. They are primarily an exploration and secret-finding tool. Their usefulness depends on both the presence of compatible walls and having the required progression access.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Bellows Bustle: an airborne dash

Bellows Bustle enables an airborne dash when Jump is pressed. Treat it as a distinct recovery and traversal option: it can help cross a gap or correct a trajectory, but it does not replace every jump-enhancing or burrowing effect.

Best Trinkets for damage and combat

Lace Glove: dependable Attack power

Lace Glove raises Attack by one level. It is the most direct damage recommendation in the listed effects because it has no accuracy streak, resource threshold, or special activation condition.

Equip it when you want a consistent improvement against ordinary enemies and bosses alike. The sources do not provide a numerical damage increase, so avoid presenting the one-level rise as a specific percentage.

Chain Capacitor: reward for accurate attack strings

Chain Capacitor increases damage when you land consecutive attacks without missing. A miss resets the chain. Its ceiling is attractive for players who can maintain a reliable attack rhythm, while its practical value falls sharply if you frequently whiff or must disengage.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Use Chain Capacitor in familiar fights where enemy openings are predictable. For a first attempt against an unknown boss, Lace Glove is less demanding.

Shock Flint: ranged pressure at full resources

When Mina is at full Plasma or full health, attacking with Shock Flint fires a shock ball that grows as it travels. The effect rewards entering an encounter at full resources and preserving that condition long enough to trigger it.

It is a conditional damage tool rather than a permanent projectile. If you are routinely below full health or Plasma, choose a Trinket whose effect does not depend on that threshold.

Bubble Ring: offense that can produce a shield

Striking foes quickly with Bubble Ring forms a shield that absorbs one hit. The item links aggressive, accurate play to a defensive payoff: you must keep attacking quickly to create the shield, and the shield absorbs only one hit.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

It works best in rooms with several targets that can be hit in succession. It is less reliable when enemies are widely spaced or attacks must be delayed for safety.

Uranium Bracelet: a high-risk damage trade

Uranium Bracelet significantly increases damage dealt and damage received. It is not a straightforward upgrade. The extra damage can shorten a fight, but every enemy attack becomes more dangerous.

Use it only when you understand the encounter and can avoid most incoming attacks. It is a poor default for learning a new area, where the increased incoming damage can erase the benefit.

Draining Beastium: stronger Sidearms at a resource cost

Draining Beastium increases Sidearm damage while consuming more Joules. It suits a Sidearm-focused build that has a dependable Joules supply and treats ammunition management as part of the plan.

If you often run out of Joules, the damage increase can leave you unable to use the Sidearm when it matters. Pair the item with resource support only when the resulting economy is sustainable.

Best Trinkets for Bones, Joules, and resource loops

Deboning Wand: the dedicated Bone-farming choice

Deboning Wand causes enemies to reward more Bones, but the Bones bounce around. The extra currency accelerates purchases and upgrades; the bouncing behavior adds collection time and can scatter drops in hazardous rooms.

Equip it during deliberate farming runs, then replace it with a combat or survival item for a difficult boss attempt if the extra Bones are no longer the priority.

Watchful Eye: rewards clean defeats

Watchful Eye grants extra Bones when you defeat a foe without being hit. It rewards precise play rather than simply increasing every enemy’s payout.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

It is dependable for players who can clear ordinary encounters cleanly. If you regularly take contact damage, Deboning Wand provides a less conditional farming effect.

Windfall Charm: a Sidearm resource loop

Windfall Charm restores some Plasma when you collect Joules, and enemies hit by Sidearms can drop Joules. The result is a loop in which Sidearm use can create Joules, Joules can restore Plasma, and restored Plasma supports continued ability use.

The loop depends on enemies that can be hit by Sidearms and on collecting the resulting Joules. It is less useful when you are not using Sidearms or when a route provides few resource drops.

How to choose a loadout for your current problem

  1. Identify the failure mode. If you die to one mistake, start with Proto Spark. If you run out of healing, use Primed Vial Pouch. If you fall, use Pit Preserver. If you are clipped repeatedly after a hit, consider Evasion Powder.
  2. Check the route’s movement demands. Use Keri the Wisp for air control, Spring Heels for higher jumps, Tunneling Codex for continuous burrowing, Wallower’s Gauntlets for compatible walls, or Bellows Bustle for an airborne dash.
  3. Match damage to your execution. Lace Glove is consistent. Chain Capacitor rewards uninterrupted accuracy. Shock Flint requires full Plasma or health. Bubble Ring requires rapid strikes. Uranium Bracelet trades safety for power. Draining Beastium assumes Sidearm and Joules management.
  4. Reserve farming effects for farming. Deboning Wand and Watchful Eye improve Bone income under different conditions; Windfall Charm supports a Sidearm resource cycle. Swap them out when currency is no longer the run’s objective.
  5. Account for your available slots. The Trinket Bag upgrade increases the maximum number of slots. Before that upgrade, prioritize the effect that addresses the route’s largest risk instead of trying to cover every category.
  6. Re-evaluate after one attempt. If a conditional effect rarely activates, replace it with a passive or easier-to-trigger option. Your actual failure pattern is more useful than a supposed universal ranking.

Suggested builds by situation

First boss or unfamiliar route

Start with Proto Spark and add Primed Vial Pouch if you have enough slots. This combination covers a lethal mistake and longer-term healing. If the route contains repeated pits, replace the pouch or another slot with Pit Preserver.

Traversal and secret hunting

Use Keri the Wisp while learning jumps and gaps. Switch to Spring Heels when the challenge is vertical reach. Add Wallower’s Gauntlets or Tunneling Codex only when the area contains compatible walls or extended burrowing segments; otherwise those slots provide little value.

Familiar combat encounter

Lace Glove is the safe damage baseline. Move to Chain Capacitor when you can maintain consecutive hits, or to Bubble Ring when rapid strikes reliably create a shield. Shock Flint is strongest when you can begin the fight at full Plasma or health.

Sidearm-centered play

Draining Beastium increases Sidearm output but raises Joules consumption. Windfall Charm can help sustain the loop by turning Sidearm hits into Joules and Joules into Plasma. If the route does not supply enough drops, use Lace Glove or another non-resource-dependent option instead.

Bone farming route

Deboning Wand is the broad farming choice because it increases enemy payouts. Watchful Eye is better when you can defeat enemies without being hit and do not mind its condition. Collect bounced Bones deliberately before moving into the next hazard.

Acquisition, availability, and guide reliability

The June 25, 2026 Mina Guide describes a 60-item list with regions and sources, including Lady Susan’s Trinket Bazaar in Ossex, other merchants, quest rewards, chests, and minigames. It notes that shop stock can expand with progression and that some missed Trinkets may later appear through Panino, although not every Panino fallback is confirmed.

A July 29, 2026 pzfans index lists names and effects for all 60 items, but gives availability details for 33 and marks 27 locations as pending. It is fan-maintained, even though its page title uses the word “official.” Treat an uncorroborated route as provisional rather than guaranteed.

Mobalytics published another list on May 27, 2026 and says it was adapted from a resource supplied to reviewers. It is useful as a secondary effects reference, but it does not turn the recommendations above into tested rankings. None of the cited guides provides controlled performance measurements comparing every Trinket.

Common mistakes when selecting Trinkets

  • Looking for a permanent winner: a one-time death save, a mobility tool, and a farming item solve different problems.
  • Ignoring activation conditions: Chain Capacitor needs consecutive hits, Shock Flint needs full Plasma or health, Watchful Eye needs an unharmed defeat, and Bubble Ring needs rapid attacks.
  • Overlooking trade-offs: Uranium Bracelet increases incoming damage, Draining Beastium consumes more Joules, and Deboning Wand scatters Bones.
  • Assuming every route is confirmed: 27 locations in the July index were still pending, so verify the merchant, quest, or area before committing to a long detour.
  • Keeping a farming item for a boss: currency effects help long-term progression but may be weaker than survival or damage during the fight itself.
  • Treating movement effects as interchangeable: Keri the Wisp controls descent, Spring Heels extends a jump, Tunneling Codex chains burrows, Wallower’s Gauntlets opens wall routes, and Bellows Bustle provides an airborne dash.

What “best” means for your save

For most new players, Proto Spark is the best first recommendation because it forgives one lethal mistake while you learn. Primed Vial Pouch becomes the better survival choice when attrition, not one-shot deaths, ends your runs. Keri the Wisp is the most immediately useful movement pick on early traversal routes, while Spring Heels is a stronger later option for jump height. Lace Glove is the dependable damage choice; Chain Capacitor has more upside when your accuracy is already consistent. Deboning Wand is the clearest farming tool, with bouncing Bones as its practical inconvenience.

Those recommendations describe roles, not a developer-approved tier list. Yacht Club Games has explained what Trinkets are, but no named developer ranking establishes one item as universally best. Build around the hazard, combat style, and resource problem in front of you, then use the Trinket Bag upgrade to carry more specialized answers as your progression allows.
