A Minecraft Live highlights page reportedly appeared on the Minecraft website before the September 28, 2024 showcase, previewing the Pale Garden, its hostile mob the Creaking, bundles, Bedrock Hardcore mode, and an in-person Minecraft experience. A September 25 report attributed the discovery to Reddit user ozzAR0th; it did not establish who caused the page to appear early or whether the disclosure was intentional.
What the reported Minecraft Live leak revealed
SameTeem reported on September 25, 2024, that a “Watch the Highlights” section had appeared on the Minecraft Live website three days before the showcase. The article, which carried text attributed to IGN freelance reporter Ryan Dinsdale, said Reddit user ozzAR0th spotted it. According to that report, the page preview promised “a first look at the pale garden and its hostile mob, the creaking,” as well as “insight into bundles and Hardcore mode.” Read the contemporaneous report.
That account supports describing the event as a reported early website appearance—not as proof that Microsoft or Mojang deliberately leaked information. The quoted preview wording was attributed to the page by the report; it was not independently archived in the official materials cited here.
What Minecraft Live later confirmed
Mojang’s official September 28 recap covered the Pale Garden and Creaking, Bundles of Bravery, Hardcore mode for Bedrock Edition, and Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue. It also included a Minecraft Movie segment. The recap said bundles were coming to all editions and Hardcore mode was coming to Bedrock, where the mode was already available in Java Edition. The Villager Rescue announcement concerned a separate, in-person attraction rather than an in-game update. Mojang credited partner Experience MOD and said the experience was scheduled to premiere in Dallas on October 18, 2024. Those dates describe the 2024 announcement, not a current event or ticket offer.
What the Creaking did—and how players could defeat it
Mojang’s October 2 feature article described the Pale Garden as a new Overworld biome and explained the Creaking’s unusual behavior: it froze while a player watched it, and direct attacks against the mob did not defeat it. To stop it, players had to find its Creaking Heart. Mojang put it plainly: “The only way to defeat a creaking is to find its creaking heart”. Read Mojang’s Creaking feature.
