What changed in MLB The Show 25 Update 14?
Update 14 was scheduled for June 2, 2025, at 10 AM PT. Its notes describe a gameplay adjustment, two Lou Gehrig Day bat cosmetics and updated player models.
Bunt tuning
Drag and push bunts were adjusted to be less successful on higher hitting difficulties. The notes do not name the specific difficulty tiers, so they do not establish exactly which settings were affected.

Cosmetics and player models
The update added a Lou Gehrig Day bat skin and bat grip. It also listed updated player models for Spencer Jones, Addison Barger, Hyeseong Kim, Starling Marte, Ryan Jeffers, Kyle Stowers, Luis Torrens, Shane Baz, Vinnie Pasquantino, Marcell Ozuna, Nick Martini, Cal Raleigh, Christian Vazquez, Luis Robert Jr., Chris Stratton, Royce Lewis, Byron Buxton and Rafael Marchan.

A fix addressed a blank screen that could appear when substituting a pitcher in head-to-head modes.
Road to the Show and Stadium Creator
In Road to the Show, the update fixed a freeze that could occur after receiving a college offer during the MLB Combine. In Stadium Creator, it fixed a way to bypass foul-line territory restraints.

Online Home Run Derby and player models
Online Home Run Derby received fixes for an incorrect Home Run count in results and a “0” displayed beside a player’s name. The notes also listed updated player models, including Scott Barlow, Jake Bird, Jon Berti, Jeff Brigham, Aaron Bummer, Junior Caminero, Matt Chapman and Dylan Cease, among others.

Ranked and Weekend Classic difficulty
For Ranked and Weekend Classic, GOAT difficulty tiers became Legend difficulty. The notes describe a change to the tier label or designation; they do not give further detail about how gameplay difficulty itself changed.
Player and equipment models
The listed updated player models were JJ Bleday, Michael Kelly, Tarik Skubal and Forrest Whitley. The update also included an updated Evoshield Sliding Mitt 2.0 equipment model.
What the June patch notes do—and do not—confirm
The three reproduced notes provide scheduled Pacific Time rollout dates and a list of changes, but they do not independently verify that each rollout completed at the stated time. The official patch-note pages were not publicly accessible; build numbers, later corrections and exact rollout outcomes are therefore not established here. The available notes also leave the higher difficulty tiers in Update 14 unnamed and do not explain whether Update 16’s difficulty change altered gameplay beyond the GOAT-to-Legend designation.
