Monster High: Skulltimate Secrets launched on October 29, 2024, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store. It is a single-player platform adventure in which players create a monster character and investigate strange events at Monster High.
When did Monster High: Skulltimate Secrets come out?
Monster High: Skulltimate Secrets released on October 29, 2024. The date is given in the Outright Games and Mattel launch announcement, and is also listed for the PC edition on Steam and for the Switch edition on the Nintendo US eShop. “Available now” refers to that 2024 launch, not a new 2026 release.

What kind of game is it?
It is a platform adventure based on the Monster High fashion-doll franchise. Draculaura, Frankie Stein and Clawdeen Wolf enlist the player to investigate strange happenings around the school, find monster keys, and unlock an ancient door as part of an effort to restore peace. The publisher’s launch announcement also describes visits to recognizable school locations and a customizable player character.
Character creation and abilities
On Steam, the game’s description says players create a monster character by choosing monster kinds, skills and looks. As they explore with Clawdeen, Draculaura and Frankie, they search for clues and unlock abilities including Vampire Jump and Gorgon Dash. Monster Points can be exchanged for clothing, giving character customization a role in progression as well as appearance.

Is Monster High: Skulltimate Secrets single-player?
Yes. Steam lists the PC game as single-player. Nintendo lists one player on a single Switch system; its US eShop page specifies TV, tabletop and handheld play modes. These listings do not indicate a multiplayer mode.

The Nintendo US eShop listing gives the Switch edition a 2.3 GB file size and one-player support on a single system. It can be played in TV, tabletop or handheld mode, and the page marks Nintendo Switch 2 compatibility as “Supported – Game behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch.” Nintendo lists Mild Fantasy Violence. These are details from the US storefront page and may change.

Is the Skulltimate Secrets doll line part of the game?
No connection requiring a toy purchase is described in the game listings: the publisher presents the game as a standalone platform adventure, while its announcement separately discusses the Skulltimate Secrets fashion-doll line. The announcement reports that the doll line ranked #4 among Fashion Doll & Accessories items in the US year-to-date in 2024 and was the #9 item in 2023. Those are publisher-reported doll-line rankings, not game sales or game rankings.
In the launch announcement, Mattel Head of Business Development, Digital Gaming Erika Winterholler said, “Monster High has always been about encouraging fans to embrace their uniqueness, creativity, individuality, and self-expression.”
