If you are looking for a particular item, use the information and prompts available in your current in-game menus, then gather nearby resources as you travel. Do not assume that marking an item automatically reveals where it comes from; that behavior is not established by the available official guidance.
How do I gather materials while riding?
- Ride your Seikret through the area where you want to gather.
- When resources appear in the nearby-item list on screen, use the up or down directional button to select one.
- Press Circle to collect the selected resource automatically.
You can also aim at a nearby item with the Slinger to gather it manually. PlayStation’s guide confirms this option but does not specify a button sequence for aiming, so follow the prompts shown by your platform and current control settings.

How can I earn more materials from monsters?
After clearing Assignments, check Alma’s Quests board for Optional Quests featuring the monster whose materials you want. Repeating one of those quests is another way to earn resources and rewards, according to the PlayStation starter guide. This is a quest-based source of materials, distinct from picking up resources in the environment.
Where do I use gathered materials?
Open the crafting menu either in a tent or from the main menu during a hunt. Materials held in storage can only be used while you are in a tent, so head back to camp when a recipe needs stored resources. The guide does not specify which materials belong to which recipes; check the crafting menu for the item you want to make.

As a result, an exact wishlist, tracking toggle, item-pin control, or map-marker path cannot be confirmed here. The reliable instructions are for gathering visible nearby resources, crafting with gathered materials, and earning further resources through repeat Optional Quests.
Controls and interface details can vary by platform and may change with updates. Treat the on-screen prompts in your current game as authoritative if they differ from the PlayStation guide.
