Where to get Artian weapon parts
Farm High Rank Tempered investigations
Tempered High Rank investigations are the main repeatable hunt route for appraised Artian weapon parts. Before launching one, inspect its listed bonus rewards and confirm that it can provide the rarity you want; a Tempered hunt is not by itself a guarantee of a particular part or rarity. PC Gamer recommends saving worthwhile investigations and reports that a saved Tempered hunt can be launched three times, though that count may change with game updates. PC Gamer’s Artian weapon guide explains the hunt and reward approach.

Rarity affects what you can make. Mobalytics describes rarity 6, 7, and 8 parts, with rarity 8 as the endgame tier, and says rarity 8 parts come from Tempered Apex investigations. Since rewards and availability can change, use the current investigation reward list as the final check rather than assuming a particular monster is always the best farm. Mobalytics’ Artian weapons guide covers the rarity tiers and alternate parts source.
Use Suja’s Melding Pot as an alternative
If you would rather spend melding resources than repeat hunts, the Melding Pot in Suja can also provide Artian parts. Mobalytics reports that two-target “Great Hunts” yield more rewards, but does not establish a guaranteed part yield or a time-per-part advantage. Treat it as another option, not a proven faster route.
#1 Best Overall
- Wild New Adventure – Monster Hunter Wilds follows the story of a special Research Commission investigating the Forbidden Lands. Fully voiced for the first time in the series, the hunter is joined in their journey by a colorful cast of characters, including a Palico partner, Guild-appointed Handler Alma, trusty smithy Gemma, and the mysterious child Nata. Together, the team ventures into an unexplored new frontier where surprises await around every corner.
- A Living World – The Forbidden Lands spans multiple biomes with dynamic identities, such as the Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest, where the ecosystems shift between vibrant seasons brimming with life, and unforgiving climates where monsters fight over limited resources. Changes in the landscape will impact the creatures that live there and push hunters to adapt as well.
- New Monsters and Wildlife – Monster Hunter Wilds features a variety of new creatures, ranging from herds of small species to large monsters – some of which roam the Forbidden Lands in packs. Every creature hunters encounter in the wild has carved out a special place in its habitat and possesses unique attacks and behaviors.
- Players can also now ride atop the Seikret, an agile new mount enabling hunters to traverse difficult terrain, perform actions like sharpening weapons on the move, and switch between two weapons while out on hunts!
- Evolved Hunting Action – The series’ acclaimed action-packed gameplay is back and more exciting than ever! Hunters can look forward to tracking down monsters with an array of new moves, special abilities, equipment, and more. The action also now flows seamlessly from cutscenes to gameplay, resulting in a new level of immersion.
Check the progression unlock
Artian crafting is gated by story and High Rank progression. Mobalytics places the unlock at Chapter 4 and the quest “Wyvern Sparks and Rose Thorns”; PC Gamer describes it as an HR 20 milestone after fights involving Tempered Lala Barina and Guardian Fulgur Anjanath. These guides frame the unlock differently, so follow the current in-game quest progression rather than treating HR 20 alone as a universal unlock condition.
Where to get reinforcement materials
Claim Festival Shares
Festival Shares are a source of the special ore used to reinforce Artian weapons. PC Gamer describes receiving the ore through Festival Shares at the Smelting Foundry in the Everforge. Available shares and menu options can depend on the active game version and event state, so check the current Foundry interface.

- Hunt giant nature-infused bests – Survive their attacks, learn from their behaviors, and use your Karakuri and your weapons in combination to cut these creatures down to size.
- Craft your hunting grounds – You are the only one in Azuma able to wield the Karakuri technology.
- Hunt in a pack, or be a lone wolf – In WILD HEARTS you can face the Kemono alone or unite with up to two friends (or other players) to stalk and hunt your prey.
- Gear up to hunt, hunt to gear up – Create your character, then gather materials from each hunt and build an array of armor and weapons.
Convert surplus monster parts at the Oilwell Basin Foundry
After the high-rank Jin Dahaad fight, PC Gamer says Roqul’s Foundry in the Oilwell Basin can break down monster parts into reinforcement ore. Mobalytics also lists smelting at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp and Azuz via Item Trade as sources. Use excess materials rather than parts you still need for crafting, upgrades, or other trades; the conversion is for reinforcement material, not Artian weapon parts.
Mobalytics reports a cost of 50 Oricalcite, worth 15,000 upgrade points, to reach maximum reinforcement level. That is a guide-reported figure, not a guaranteed current cost: check the weapon’s displayed requirements before spending resources.

Choose Artian parts before crafting
An Artian weapon uses three parts of compatible rarity, and the required part types depend on weapon class. Parts also determine the weapon’s element or status and contribute an attack or affinity bonus. Decide on weapon class and desired element or status before using rare parts.
- Using at least two parts with the same element guarantees that element, according to the PlayStation endgame guide: “Every Artian Material has an Element Type attached to it; craft using at least two materials of one element to guarantee that element.”
- PC Gamer says three different elements produce a physical weapon.
For an elemental build, the practical choice is to gather compatible parts with the element you want before forging. For a physical weapon, follow the three-different-elements combination described by PC Gamer. Check the recipe shown in-game, since the parts must also match the weapon’s required types and rarity.

Understand reinforcement and dismantling costs
Reinforcement adds up to five levels of bonuses. Mobalytics lists possible bonus types as attack, affinity, sharpness, element or status, and bowgun capacity; the bonus sequence is predetermined when the weapon is forged. This means reinforcement is not a way to reroll a chosen sequence after the fact.
Dismantling returns reinforcement materials, but it does not return the Artian parts or Zenny spent to make the weapon. If a forged weapon gets an unwanted reinforcement sequence, dismantling recovers the reinforcement investment, not the parts that went into the weapon.

Which route should you use?
| Goal | Route | Input or condition | What to expect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Artian weapon parts | High Rank Tempered investigations | Choose investigations whose bonus rewards list the needed rarity. | Hunt rewards; a specific part or rarity is not guaranteed. |
| Artian weapon parts | Suja Melding Pot | Use the available melding options and resources. | Alternate parts source; a guaranteed yield or faster rate is not established. |
| Reinforcement ore | Festival Shares | Use the Smelting Foundry in the Everforge when shares are available. | Ore source tied to Festival Shares. |
| Reinforcement ore | Oilwell Basin Foundry smelting | After the high-rank Jin Dahaad fight, convert surplus monster parts. | Turns excess monster materials into reinforcement ore. |
The sources do not establish a current time-per-material ranking, so there is no evidence-based universal fastest farm. Pick the route based on which material you need and what resources you can spare, then verify patch-sensitive rewards and Foundry options in your current game.
