What the minimum and recommended tiers mean
Minimum: 1080p output at 30 fps on Lowest settings
Steam describes minimum-tier performance as 1080p upscaled from 720p at 30 fps using the Lowest preset. That is a stated target for the listed configuration, not a promise that every PC meeting the component names will maintain that frame rate in every area or situation.

Recommended: 60 fps with Frame Generation at Medium settings
The recommended target is 1080p at 60 fps on Medium settings with Frame Generation enabled. Because Frame Generation is explicitly part of the target, this should not be read as a guarantee of 60 fps without it.
Can your PC run Monster Hunter Wilds?
Compare your system with the Steam table, paying particular attention to the graphics card and its VRAM. A PC matching the minimum list meets Capcom’s published minimum configuration, whose stated target uses Lowest settings and upscales from 720p. Matching the recommended list corresponds to the Medium-settings target with Frame Generation.

- Check the GPU model and VRAM. The listed minimum cards have 6 GB (GTX 1660) and 8 GB (RX 5500 XT); the recommended cards each have 8 GB.
- Check the CPU. Steam lists three processor options and uses the same options for both tiers.
- Check storage type and free space. The game requires an SSD and 75 GB available. This is the required free space, not a claim that a 75 GB total-capacity drive is sufficient.
- Check the supporting requirements. The listing also calls for 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, and broadband internet.
The component names are desktop-model listings; they do not establish an equivalent laptop GPU. Nor do these requirements establish actual performance across different PC builds, drivers, game areas or updates. Treat the figures as Capcom’s published configuration targets rather than independent benchmark results.
Release date and platform context
Capcom’s September 25, 2024 announcement gave February 28, 2025 as the launch date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and said the game supports cross-play. The Steam listing displays February 27, 2025. These are the dates shown by the respective sources.
