On the PS5 home screen, highlight Monster Train 2, press the Options button, and choose Check for Update. A Shiny Shoe representative posted in a Monster Train community thread that “We have launched a new 2.1.1 patch for PS5 to address this issue.” Some players in that thread said the patch fixed their launch crash. Check PS5 system software

Reinstall the game
If the crash persists, delete Monster Train 2 and download it again from your game library. Rebuild the database in Safe Mode

Contact support before considering system software reinstallation
Sony lists backing up data and reinstalling system software in Safe Mode as a final measure.
