Moonstone Island is a single-player creature-collecting life sim and RPG developed by Studio Supersoft and published by Raw Fury. Nintendo describes it as a life sim in an open world of 100 islands; its activities include brewing potions, growing crops, building and decorating a home, befriending villagers, exploring dungeons, and taming Spirits. How do the creature collecting and card battles work?
Spirits are both collectible companions and the center of combat. In the structure described by Nintendo Everything’s Switch review, you form a party of three Spirits, each with a card deck, and fight turn-based battles using those decks. Twinfinite highlighted Spirit leveling and deck-building as an enjoyable part of the game, making combat a meaningful component of the creature-collecting loop rather than a side feature. Who is Moonstone Island best for?
