It ships with Windows 11 Pro in that configuration; other regional versions can differ, so check the exact SKU before buying.
What is the MSI Stealth 18 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport?
It is MSI’s Stealth 18 A1V gaming-laptop family, presented in a Mercedes-AMG Motorsport design. MSI announced the platform at COMPUTEX 2024. Its specifications make it a large, high-performance system rather than a lightweight gaming notebook. The details below describe the US A1VHG-038US unless noted; regional configurations are not necessarily identical.

What the display and graphics specifications mean
The 3840 × 2400 resolution provides more pixels than a conventional 4K UHD 16:9 panel, while the 120Hz refresh rate supports smoother motion than a standard 60Hz screen. MSI lists Mini LED, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 for the US configuration. Those are panel specifications, not a guarantee that every game will run at native resolution and high frame rates: performance depends on the game and settings, and no independent benchmark figures are established here.
The RTX 4080 is the laptop GPU variant, not the desktop RTX 4080. MSI specifies 12GB of GDDR6 and up to 150W maximum graphics power with Dynamic Boost. GPU model alone is not enough to predict performance against another laptop; power limits, cooling and operating settings matter too.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Windows 11 Pro and regional differences
Windows 11 Pro is confirmed for the US A1VHG-038US and several UK configurations. Other regional MSI pages list Windows 11 Home on some versions. Before ordering, match the full model or SKU on the retailer listing to the regional MSI specification page rather than relying on the family name alone. Memory, card-reader type, display options and operating system can vary across the range. MSI UK specifications
Size, ports and day-to-day use
At 2.89kg before the power adapter, with a 280W adapter in the US listing, this is best treated as a desktop-replacement-sized laptop. The 99.9Wh battery capacity does not establish how long it will last away from a socket; no battery-runtime result is provided by the cited specifications.
Recommended Free Tools
The connection selection covers common gaming and workstation needs: Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, USB-C, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 and wired Ethernet, alongside Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Confirm the regional specification if you need a particular card-reader format.
Is the MSI Stealth 18 Mercedes-AMG worth buying?
The documented configuration is a strong fit for someone who wants a large, high-resolution Mini LED screen, an RTX 4080 Laptop GPU, substantial memory and storage, and Windows 11 Pro in one premium gaming system. Its weight and power adapter make portability a trade-off, and the 4K-class panel can demand considerable graphics performance in demanding games.
There is no substantiated current price, stock position, battery-life test, independent gaming benchmark, thermal or noise measurement, or universal warranty term in the cited official material. Those vary by retailer, date and geography. Compare the live offer for the exact SKU, warranty and return policy against alternatives using GPU power limit, display, memory, storage, weight and ports—not branding alone.
