MTG Arena codes can unlock booster packs, cosmetics, XP, or event entry—but there is no complete, officially confirmed list of active general-purpose codes available for October 8, 2026. Treat older lists cautiously: a code may have expired, been used already on your account, or be limited by region or product. Check current official announcements, then redeem a valid code through Wizards’ account page or the supported PC/Mac client.
What MTG Arena codes can unlock
Wizards says Arena codes may grant booster packs, cosmetic upgrades, or XP. Codes in prerelease packs can instead provide event entry, so a code tied to a physical Magic product is not necessarily a free booster code. Rewards and availability depend on the specific promotion and its terms. Wizards’ code redemption guide and its promotional-code page describe these distinctions.
Some selected physical Magic products include codes; Wizards does not say that every product does. For prerelease codes, check the back of the token card in the prerelease pack. A purchase is not required to redeem publicly available promotions, and confirm the exact product’s packaging or listing before buying it for a code.
Are there MTG Arena codes still working?
As of October 8, 2026, the official sources reviewed do not establish a complete list of active, general-purpose codes. That means it would be misleading to present a copied historical list as a verified set of working codes. Wizards’ promo page includes time-limited offers; for example, an offer shown there expired December 31, 2025. A page remaining online—or a code repeated on another site—does not make that offer current.

For the best chance of finding a usable offer, check Wizards’ MTG Arena page for code-update signup and the Arena news archive for announcements. These are useful official channels, but their availability does not mean a general-use code is currently being offered.
When evaluating a code, check the details that determine whether it applies to you:

How to redeem an MTG Arena code
- Go to myaccounts.wizards.com and sign in to the Wizards account linked to your Arena account.
- Enter the code in the Redeem A Code field and select Redeem. Enter it exactly as provided; codes are case-sensitive, and extra spaces can cause an error.
- Open MTG Arena and select the Store tab to receive the reward.
Wizards also says redemption is available in the PC/Mac client. Its support article, updated July 8, 2026, says codes cannot be redeemed in the mobile app at this time. Use the account page or supported desktop client instead.
Why an Arena code may not work
If redemption fails, check the code and its terms before trying again:

- Duplicate-free assortment of 25 random Rare cards.
- May contain Foils, Mythic Rares, or Planeswalkers.
- (No card pictured is guaranteed.)
- Capitalization or spaces: match the original capitalization and remove leading or trailing spaces.
- Expiry: confirm the promotion has not ended.
- Previous use: most codes can be redeemed only once per account.
- Incorrect code: check for mistyped or misread characters.
- Eligibility: review product, region, or language restrictions attached to the offer.
Wizards lists expired, incorrect, and previously redeemed codes among the reasons redemption may fail. Some older successful redemptions may not produce a visible inventory confirmation even when the redemption prompt reports success.

Code availability changes, and a third-party list may not distinguish an expired promotion from a current one—or a product-linked event code from a public pack code. Prefer an official announcement with current terms. If you consult a list elsewhere, look for a clear update date and separate confirmation that a code was officially announced from evidence that it was successfully redeemed recently. Your account history and location can also affect whether it works.
