That does not mean every seller has every deck in stock, or that Wizards has announced a measured “restock wave.” Check the live listing, seller, delivery estimate and delivered price before buying.
What is available again
Wizards announced five ready-to-play Foundations Commander decks, with an official release date of October 2, 2026. The products are listed for purchase or preorder through Amazon, TCGplayer, local game stores and other retailers that sell Magic products. Retail pages can change quickly, so a listing that shows availability today may move to preorder or backorder later.

The return of listings follows a period in which Wizards warned that supply could be difficult around launch. It is more accurate to describe the current situation as products reappearing across retail channels after constrained distribution than as a quantified, nationwide inventory restoration.
The five decks and their play styles
Each deck is designed as an introductory Commander experience and can later be reconfigured with cards from a player’s collection. The names and broad themes give you a better starting point than buying solely because a listing is scarce.

Why launch stock was tight
Wizards’ logistics notice said Foundations Commander decks were partially delayed in North America and that availability could remain tight through release. The same notice reported partial delays or tight availability in Latin America and delays in Japan. Wizards described the situation as fluid while logistics teams worked to improve timelines, and directed customers to check local game stores and retailers for current availability.
Those notices explain why some launch-week listings disappeared or carried uncertain delivery dates. They do not establish that all retailers received stock simultaneously, nor do they provide a unit count, sell-through percentage or guaranteed reprint schedule.

Where to check first
- Amazon: Check whether the page is marked in stock and note the estimated delivery date. Confirm who sells and ships the item, because marketplace sellers can have different fulfillment terms.
- TCGplayer: Compare individual seller listings, condition, language and shipping. Make sure the listing is for a complete sealed deck rather than singles or a partially opened product.
- Local game stores: Call or check the store’s online inventory. Local availability can differ from national websites, particularly during uneven regional distribution.
- Other Magic retailers: Compare the same details—sealed status, language, seller reputation and arrival estimate—before placing an order.
Is a markup justified?
Wizards’ published Commander-deck MSRP reference is $44.99, identified in its pricing policy as a Wizards of the Coast 2024 suggested retail price. Retailers may set their own prices, so $44.99 is a comparison anchor rather than a guaranteed current price.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Compare the item price plus shipping and any taxes.
- Check the deck’s language and confirm that all cards and accessories are included.
- Distinguish an in-stock, shipped-and-sold-by listing from a preorder or backorder estimate.
- Review the seller’s reputation and return terms.
- Decide whether the deck’s theme is worth the premium to you; scarcity alone does not prove a higher price is fair.
A modest premium may buy faster delivery or a reliable sealed product, but the available official information does not support a specific “correct” markup. If a listing is far above the $44.99 reference, compare another retailer and your local store before committing.
What buyers should expect after purchase
These are ready-to-play entry products, so a new Commander player can use one immediately rather than assemble a deck from individual cards. Wizards also presents them as starting points: after playing the deck, you can replace cards or shift its strategy using cards already in your collection. That upgrade path means the best purchase is usually the deck whose theme you will actually play, not simply the one with the most volatile listing.

What remains uncertain
Wizards has not published a retailer-by-retailer inventory report, a formal restock-wave statistic, a unit count, a sell-through percentage or a guaranteed timetable for future replenishment. Availability therefore remains a live, regional question. North American, Latin American and Japanese buyers may see different dates and quantities, and an online listing should be treated as a snapshot rather than a promise of sustained supply.
