How long is the Modern Warfare 3 campaign?
Windows Central estimates that the campaign takes about 3–4 hours to complete. This is an editorial estimate, not a duration published by Activision or a guaranteed playtime. Your result may differ depending on difficulty, retries, pace, and how much time you spend exploring.
Activision’s campaign guide confirms the 14-mission count but does not give an official completion time.

Are there open-world missions in MW3?
The campaign combines traditional, cinematic single-player missions with Open Combat Missions (OCMs). Activision describes OCMs as appearing throughout the campaign alongside more traditional missions, offering different approaches. That does not mean every mission is open combat or that the whole campaign is an open world.
