NintendoEverything reviewer Ellie Lutes described the game as a text-heavy visual novel with Japanese voiceover. Lutes praised the replay value of its routes and memories, and noted that the format works for short play sessions as well as docked or handheld play. Those are the reviewer’s impressions; the review disclosed that the publisher provided the review copy.

The clearest appeal in the reviewed coverage is the cast: familiar characters, humor and the new romance options drew praise. The main reservations concern prose and how much the story relies on existing franchise context.
