For assembly, that guide recommends installing the lower control arms, upper control arms, axle, springs, and shocks in that order. Its bolt sizes and mechanical descriptions are unofficial guidance, so check the prompts and attachment points in your current game.
How the Corris Rivett rear axle is laid out
The official My Winter Car page identifies the game; it does not provide a service manual. The mechanical details below come from the community-maintained Suspension & Chassis Parts guide, labeled last updated December 30, 2025 for game version 1.0.
That guide describes the Corris Rivett as rear-wheel drive, with a solid live rear axle and four-link geometry. It lists two rear lower control arms and two rear upper control arms. The differential sits at the center of the axle assembly.
What the control arms do
- The guide describes the lower arms as locating the axle longitudinally.
- It says the angled upper arms help limit axle rotation and side movement. The guide compares their effect to a Panhard rod, but that is an analogy; it does not establish that the Rivett has a separate Panhard rod.
These are community-guide descriptions, not developer-published service specifications.

Recommended rear suspension assembly order
The community complete build guide, last updated April 2026, recommends this sequence:
- Install the rear lower control arms.
- Install the rear upper control arms.
- Fit the rear axle. The guide lists four 15 mm bolts.
- Install the rear coil springs.
- Install the rear shock absorbers. The guide lists two 13 mm bolts per side.
The guide warns that the game is in Early Access and that part names, bolt sizes, and mechanics can change. Treat the listed sizes as game-specific guidance, not real-car specifications. If a part will not fit, check the in-game bolt prompt and attachment points rather than forcing the guide’s sequence or size onto a different build.

If the rear axle shifts or the car handles strangely
The suspension guide identifies worn control-arm bushings as one possible cause of axle movement during acceleration or braking, which it calls “rear-axle steering.” It notes that this may affect handling, particularly on icy roads. Use this as a troubleshooting lead, not a definite diagnosis: the available guidance does not provide a complete diagnostic test or rule out bent axle damage, loose fasteners, or other causes.
Fleetari and bent rear-axle damage
A community update log dated February 10, 2026 records: “Fixed issue with Fleetari not repairing Rear Axle bent damage”. This is a dated patch-note report, not a guarantee that Fleetari will repair every case in every current build or save. Check the current game behavior if the repair option does not work as expected.
