Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Legacy is a four-game collection covering the main Storm storyline from Naruto through Shippuden and into Boruto. It bundles the first Ultimate Ninja Storm, Storm 2, Storm 3: Full Burst, and Storm 4: Road to Boruto. There is no dedicated professional review of Legacy as a complete package in the available review coverage, so reviews of related releases should not be mistaken for a verdict on this collection.
What’s included in Storm Legacy?
Bandai Namco describes the collection as four HD remasters: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3: Full Burst, and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto. The official Naruto franchise lineup likewise identifies Legacy with Storm 1–4 and Road to Boruto, spanning the Naruto, Shippuden, and Boruto story eras: Naruto official games lineup.
Legacy is not one new game that combines the four campaigns into a single continuous title. It is a package of separate Storm entries. It is also broader than Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy, which bundles the first three games; Legacy adds Storm 4: Road to Boruto.
Where can you play it?
Bandai Namco’s Legacy listing names PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC/Steam. Nintendo Switch is not listed as an official Legacy platform. Check the exact edition and platform before buying, especially if a retailer’s listing uses a similar collection name.
#1 Best Overall
- Huge Value with Four Full Games In One Package - Remasters of Storm 1, Storm 2, and Storm 3 Full Burst and Storm 4 Road to Boruto.
- Includes exclusive Steelbook case, Naruto art book, and bonus anime disc.
- New Generation Systems - With the power of next generation consoles, Legacy will take players through an incredible journey of beautifully Anime-rendered fights.
- Includes DLC content, characters, costumes, and scenarios. (Not all DLC content is included in this collection.)
The US PlayStation Store lists the PS4 edition and says it can be played on PS5, while warning that some PS4 features may be absent. This is backward compatibility, not a separately listed PS5 edition; consult the PlayStation Store listing for its current compatibility notice.
What do the reviews say—and what do they not say?
The key limitation for a buyer comparing review scores is that the professional reviews located for related Storm releases are not reviews of Legacy as a four-game package across its official platforms.

Professional reviews of adjacent releases
Meristation’s 2018 review covers the Nintendo Switch version of Storm Trilogy, not Legacy. It reports technical performance problems in that port and notes the effects of the games’ age. Those observations may inform expectations about that particular Switch Trilogy release, but they do not establish how Legacy runs on PS4, Xbox One, or PC.
Meristation’s 2020 review concerns the Nintendo Switch version of Road to Boruto. It describes the campaign as roughly eight to nine hours, calls the Trilogy port technically behind PS4 and Xbox One, and characterizes the story presentation as more condensed than the anime. The campaign-length figure is that reviewer’s estimate for that release—not a measured length for Legacy or for all four games together. Neither review should be presented as a direct review of Legacy.
Rank #3
- Ninja Battle Action - Amazing fights and original animation heighten the incredible action and interactive experience of the Storm series like never before.
- Improved Gameplay - New Gameplay mechanics with the powerful Combo Ultimate Jutsu and combined attacks.
- Never-before-seen Roster - 100 playable characters, including new characters and transformations appearing for the first time!
- Exclusive Character - A brand new character (Mecha-Naruto) designed by series creator Masashi Kishimoto exclusively for the game.
- Ninja World Tournament - A brand new mode where 4 different Ninjas battle and the last one standing wins!
Store ratings are a different kind of evidence
When accessed in 2026, the US PlayStation Store showed Legacy averaging 4.57 out of 5 from 11,797 ratings. PlayStation says reviews come from verified owners and are moderated. This is a user-rating snapshot, not a critic score, and both the average and rating count can change. Check the listing for the current figure before relying on it.
Physical editions and collector extras
Collector contents are not safe to assume from the Legacy name alone. Bandai Namco’s launch announcement described a SteelBook, artbook, and bonus anime Blu-ray for participating PS4 and Xbox One retailers. A European announcement described a metal case, artbook, and a 12-minute Boruto anime. Those descriptions differ by announcement and market; the contents of an individual copy depend on its region, edition, retailer, and whether it is new or used.
Before purchasing a physical copy for its extras, verify the exact product listing and included media rather than assuming every retail or digital version contains collector items. The publisher’s launch announcement and European announcement describe launch packaging, not a guarantee about every copy currently on sale.

Legacy is the most straightforward choice among these two collections if you want the first four main Storm entries together, including Storm 4: Road to Boruto. Trilogy may suit someone who wants only the first three entries. The decision also depends on whether you want to play the older games as well as Storm 4: a buyer interested only in the later entry may not need a four-game bundle.

- Ideal Product
- Easy to use
- Durable product
- Good fit: you want the Storm games in one collection and value having the story move across Naruto, Shippuden, and Boruto.
- Compare editions first: you are choosing between Legacy and Trilogy, or considering a physical copy for collector extras.
- Look closely at platform-specific coverage: you plan to play on a platform not listed for Legacy, or are using reviews of Switch Trilogy or Switch Road to Boruto to judge performance on another system.
Bandai Namco’s product page says more than 16 million NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM games have sold worldwide. The publisher does not state a year for that figure on the page, and it is a franchise sales claim rather than a Legacy sales total.
Verdict
For a buyer seeking all four main Storm entries in one package, Legacy’s contents make it the broader choice over Trilogy. Treat confidence in performance and quality as platform- and game-specific: the available professional reviews cover adjacent Switch releases, not Legacy as a complete collection on PS4, Xbox One, or PC. Verify the platform, current regional price, and any physical extras on the exact listing before buying.
