When did NBA 2K25 Season 7 come out?
Season 7 arrived Friday, May 16, 2025. In its May 14, 2025 announcement, 2K described the update as seasonal content for MyCAREER, MyTEAM, The W Online, and the Season 7 Pro Pass. It was themed around Brunson’s performances and playoff run; 2K identified him as the 2025 NBA Clutch Player of the Year.

What rewards did Season 7 add?
MyCAREER
On New Gen, the announced reward ladder included a Dune Buggy at Level 14, Los Angeles Clippers mascot Chuck the Condor at Level 20, a Wilson X NBA City Basketball at Level 36, a Sun Hat at Level 38, an Underground Outfit at Level 39, and a +1 Cap Breaker at Level 40. The basketball reward is listed in 2K’s May 14 Steam announcement.
MyTEAM
Players began with a Level 1 Pink Diamond Donovan Mitchell evolution card that could be upgraded to a 99 OVR Dark Matter. At Level 18, a Dynamic Duo paired Dark Matter Jalen Brunson with Diamond Josh Hart; 2K said playing them together boosted both to 99 OVR Dark Matter. Other featured rewards included Dark Matter Amar’e Stoudemire at Level 20, 100 OVR Willis Reed at Level 30, and Invincible Paul George at Level 40.

The W Online
The W Online’s seasonal and weekly items included Atlanta Dream gear, themed sleeves, and a Candace Parker Game Changer Jersey. 2K limited The W Online and its related content to New Gen.
Season 7 Pro Pass
The separately purchased Pro Pass added 40 tiers of MyCAREER and MyTEAM rewards. 2K listed automatic rewards including a 100 OVR Zion Williamson and a Season 7 Pro Pass Pack, plus a Pro Pass-exclusive Invincible Paul George at Level 40. The Hall of Fame pass was also a separate purchase. Free rewards required gameplay to unlock; the paid passes added rewards earnable through gameplay. Both required the base game, an internet connection, and a 2K account. Season progress and rewards reset at the end of the season, so these are historical Season 7 details—not an indication that its rewards are still available.

What does NBA 2K25’s current service timeline mean?
2K Support’s notice, published September 3 and updated October 2, 2026, says NBA 2K25 will stop being available for purchase on October 30, 2026, and will be discontinued on December 31, 2026. Starting January 1, 2027, online modes—including MyCAREER and MyTEAM—will be unavailable. Existing owners can still redownload the game and play offline modes, but server-dependent features will no longer work. These dates concern the game’s availability and online services, not a new Season 7 launch.
