New World’s Nightveil Hallow details most often cited online are from the 2024 event, which ran October 22 through November 5. Amazon Games’ official sources do not announce a 2026 return. The game was delisted on January 15, 2026, and its servers are scheduled to shut down on January 31, 2027.
Is Nightveil Hallow happening in 2026?
There is no confirmed 2026 Nightveil Hallow event in the official announcements covered here. Amazon Games’ January 15, 2026 notice says New World: Aeternum was delisted that day and that servers are scheduled to go offline January 31, 2027. It describes Nighthaven as the final seasonal update, with no additional content planned after it. Treat the dates, rewards, odds, and caps below as historical details from the 2024 event—not as a current schedule or guarantee that the rewards are obtainable now.
When did the 2024 event run?
Amazon Games announced that the 2024 Nightveil Hallow ran from October 22 through November 5. The event centered on Baalphazu, Marquis of Terror, and the Pumpkinites. Players could help Salvatore the Mad, collect event rewards, wear costumes, and trick-or-treat in towns, according to the October 18, 2024 announcement.
How did Nightveil Hallow work?
Costumes and Treat Baskets
The 2024 event named four costumes: Captain Thorpe, Adiana, Anubian Reaver, and Lost Monarch. Players could obtain costumes from town centerpieces and Baalphazu. While wearing a costume, they could search towns for hidden Treat Baskets.

Baskets also contained a limited-time candy item in one of four flavors. Daily-limited rewards reset at 5 a.m. local time. These are the published mechanics for 2024 only; the announcement does not establish that they apply to another edition. See the official event details.
Baalphazu and Ichor
Baalphazu was described as a level 66 world boss. Players could join large groups to fight him and earn armor pieces up to five times daily, costumes up to three times daily, and Ichor. The reward limits are Amazon Games’ stated 2024 event caps, not independently measured drop results. The 2024 announcement has the event’s boss and reward details.
Salvatore’s quest and Nightveil Cauldron Caches
Salvatore the Mad appeared at cauldrons in towns. After bringing him Ichor and completing his questline, players received a Nightveil Hallow Cache containing five tokens and two random weapon patterns, and gained access to the Nightveil Sentinel section of the event shop.

Players could exchange additional Ichor for Nightveil Cauldron Caches. Amazon Games listed 7–13 tokens, one random weapon pattern, a coin bag (available three times daily), and one White Gypsum per cache. These quantities and limits describe the 2024 event; they are not a current drop guarantee.
Event shop rewards
The 2024 shop included armor and weapon patterns, cosmetics, housing items, emotes, and other event items. Named examples included Chiroptera’s Cowl, Druid’s Headdress, Necromancer’s Crown, Crone Visage, Throne of the Hollow, Baalphazu’s Offering, Summoning Circle, Hexed Canopy Tent Skin, Docile Pumpklin, and Baalphazu’s Mantle. Their inclusion in the 2024 list does not confirm present-day availability.

Amazon Games’ 2026 notice says the game was delisted on January 15, 2026, while its servers are scheduled to remain online until January 31, 2027. Delisting is not the same as a statement that every previously issued game code is unusable, but Amazon Games Support’s list of authorized purchase channels should not be read as proof that codes remain available after delisting. Its guidance names Amazon, Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation, and says Steam codes can be bought through Steam or Amazon; see Amazon Games Support’s purchase-channel article. The PlayStation Store listing currently says the title is not available for purchase and that persistent internet access is required.

Amazon Games lists PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 as platforms. Its PC system requirements include 100 GB of available storage in the recommended specifications. None of this establishes a special accessory or hardware requirement for Nightveil Hallow.
What did the 2023 announcement say?
The 2023 event announcement included a costume-focused comment from system designer Joel Clift: “Thematically costumes were very fitting for Nightveil,” followed by, “Personally I look forward to role playing as Thorpe in the open world and murdering a few denizens of Aeternum.” The quote appears in Amazon Games’ October 11, 2023 announcement. It is a comment about that edition’s theme, not evidence of a 2026 event.
