Nexus Mods announced that Premium prices would rise on 17 June 2024, citing higher operating and infrastructure costs. The announcement listed new monthly and annual prices in US dollars, pounds and euros, but those dated figures are not a guaranteed quote for every country or account today. Check your Nexus Mods billing page or checkout for the amount you would actually pay.
How much did Nexus Mods Premium cost after the increase?
In its 30 April 2024 announcement, Nexus Mods said the following base prices would take effect on 17 June 2024. The amounts exclude applicable taxes.
| Billing interval | USD | GBP | EUR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $8.99 | £7.19 | €8.39 |
| Annual | $89.99 | £71.99 | €83.99 |
Nexus Mods’ announcement said new subscribers’ currency would match their location where available; other currencies would be calculated from the USD amount where possible, and local taxes could apply. It also described a transition for existing subscribers, who would initially remain billed in GBP under the new system and could switch currency when available. The membership terms say the price, including VAT, is the price indicated on the website. Because location, tax and account billing can affect the total, use your live billing page or checkout rather than treating the announcement’s figures as a current universal quote.
Why did Nexus Mods raise the price?
Nexus Mods attributed the increase to rising operating costs and investment in platform infrastructure and products. In the announcement, the company said the previous increase had been three years earlier and the one before that was in 2013. It also cited more than 15% monetary inflation since 2021; that figure is the company’s statement, not an independently verified inflation calculation.

What does Premium include?
The Premium membership page advertises uncapped download speeds, one-click Collections, an ad-free experience and support for mod creators. These are advertised benefits; whether they justify the fee depends on how often you download mods and use Collections, and how much you value ad-free browsing and creator support.

Monthly or annual billing: how to decide
The documented payment intervals are monthly and annual. There is no universally best choice: compare the total shown at checkout, including tax, with how long you expect to use Premium and how much you value its features. Before subscribing, check the selected interval and its renewal terms so the charge matches your expectations.
Is there a free trial, and what happens when it ends?
Nexus Mods’ Premium Trial FAQ says eligible first-time Premium users can get a three-day trial. Eligibility excludes anyone who has previously had Premium, including Supporter membership or a free month through mod-author rewards. Users choose a monthly or annual plan and provide payment details; the trial then becomes that paid plan unless canceled before it expires. Trial availability is limited by country and may change, so check the FAQ and checkout for current eligibility and terms.

How do cancellation and renewals work?
The membership terms describe recurring monthly or annual charges while a subscription remains active. To manage or cancel, use the billing area of your Nexus Mods account. The cancellation and refund help page says cancellation stops future payments while paid access continues until the next payment date. The trial FAQ says cancellation during the trial immediately ends Premium access, so do not assume trial access continues to the end of the three days after canceling.
