NHL 25 features brothers Quinn, Jack, and Luke Hughes on its cover. EA released the game worldwide on October 4, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its reveal spotlighted ICE-Q, a new gameplay intelligence system, along with updates to Franchise Mode, Hockey Ultimate Team, World of Chel, and presentation.
Who is on the NHL 25 cover?
EA announced Quinn, Jack, and Luke Hughes as the cover athletes on August 22, 2024. EA described them as the first siblings to appear together on an EA SPORTS cover. The cover varied by edition and market: Jack appeared on the U.S. standard cover, Quinn on the Canadian standard cover, and all three brothers on the Deluxe Edition cover, according to NHL.com’s reveal coverage.

At the time of the announcement, Quinn was identified with the Vancouver Canucks, while Jack and Luke were identified with the New Jersey Devils. Those team references describe the 2024 announcement, not necessarily their current affiliations.
When did NHL 25 come out, and what platforms is it on?
EA’s August 22, 2024 reveal set the release date for October 4, 2024. NHL Public Relations confirmed worldwide availability on that date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The launch announcement lists EA Vancouver as developer and an E10+ rating. The official platform information cited for NHL 25 does not list versions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, or Nintendo Switch.

What did EA announce for NHL 25?
ICE-Q and gameplay
EA presented ICE-Q as a logic-driven animation system that responds to context in play. Its announced components included Next-Gen Vision Control, Empowered AI, and Reactive Actions, as well as skill-based one-timers. These are descriptions of features from EA’s reveal and launch materials, not independent performance findings. See the reveal announcement and the October 4 launch notice.
Modes and presentation
EA also highlighted a refreshed Franchise Mode hub, HUT Wildcard, a revised live-event structure for World of Chel, and presentation updates. The feature descriptions were part of the publisher’s launch messaging; the announcements do not provide independent evaluations of how those changes perform in play.

What were the launch-era Deluxe Edition and EA Play offers?
The Deluxe Edition and trial details in EA’s 2024 announcements were tied to the preorder and launch period, not a guarantee of current offers. The August reveal described seven days of early access, 4,600 NHL Points, Hockey Ultimate Team packs, World of Chel Battle Pass XP boosts and a player set, and an NHL 24 reward. It also gave a September 13 preorder deadline. The October launch notice listed Deluxe contents with some pack details updated from the earlier reveal. The EA Play 10-hour trial was described as beginning seven days before launch. These historical terms do not establish that any of those offers or trial benefits remain available.
