Walmart Canada’s Nintendo Switch 2 category showed the console with an “Add” option—not a preorder label—when accessed on October 8, 2026. Some games and a special-edition Pro Controller were marked for preorder. Check the current Walmart Canada listing before ordering, because stock, prices and order status can change.
Is the Nintendo Switch 2 available to preorder at Walmart Canada?
The headline’s present-tense claim needs qualification: the console was not labelled preorder in Walmart Canada’s catalogue snapshot from October 8, 2026. The system showed an “Add” option, while preorder labels appeared on some games and a special-edition Pro Controller. That snapshot does not establish today’s availability or whether an “Add” option means the item can be shipped to your address; confirm the live listing and checkout details.

Walmart Canada and Nintendo prices are not the same kind of figure
In its October 8, 2026 catalogue snapshot, Walmart listed the standard system at $679.96 and a Mario Kart World bundle at $939.95. These are Walmart catalogue prices, not guaranteed checkout totals or Nintendo’s suggested prices. The catalogue figures may depend on stock, seller, location or later updates.

How to compare a Walmart listing before ordering
- Confirm the status. Open the specific product page and check whether it is available to add, marked preorder, or unavailable. Category labels alone do not confirm that an order can be completed.
- Check the seller and total. Compare the seller shown on the listing and the amount displayed at checkout. A catalogue price is not necessarily the final amount for every shopper.
- Review delivery or pickup timing. Check the estimate for your location before relying on an availability label.
- Verify bundle contents. Read the item description to confirm whether the game and membership are included and whether the offer matches Nintendo’s described bundle.
- Read current return terms. Consult Walmart Canada’s policy before buying; terms can depend on the item and seller.
