A “Pre-order now” label on Nintendo’s store indicates an eShop preorder; it does not confirm that a physical copy is available from Amazon or another retailer. How to check Nintendo’s live US preorder listings

1. Open Nintendo’s US Coming soon page.
2. Open a title’s individual listing and confirm that the platform is Nintendo Switch 2, not the original Nintendo Switch.
3. Check that the listing currently says “Pre-order now” and note its displayed release date. Both can change.
4. If you want a physical edition, check the retailer’s own listing for the exact platform, format, preorder status, price, and any edition-specific contents. Nintendo’s eShop label does not establish retailer availability or matching bonuses.

What happens when you preorder on Nintendo eShop

Nintendo says only select unreleased games and downloadable content can be preordered. According to Nintendo Support’s Nintendo eShop Pre-Order and Pre-Load FAQ, “When you pre-order content on Nintendo eShop, payment will not be processed until, at earliest, 7 days before the game is released.” After payment, the content preloads to the console. You can cancel an eShop preorder before payment is processed and preloading takes place.
