Prices reported on August 1 show increases across all three original Switch models, along with selected games and accessories. These are Canadian-dollar examples from 2025—not a verified October 2026 price list.
Which Nintendo Switch products were included?
Nintendo of Canada said the changes were based on “market conditions.” The June 30, 2025 notice covered the original Switch family: the OLED model, standard Switch and Switch Lite. It also named physical and digital Switch games, accessories, amiibo and Nintendo Switch Online memberships. Nintendo said it would share Canadian pricing information on August 1. Read Nintendo’s announcement.
Nintendo explicitly excluded Switch 2 hardware, accessories and software from this particular update. The notice does not identify a more specific cause, so it does not establish that tariffs, exchange rates or any other particular factor drove the changes.
