A secondary report says the discussion became contentious, comments were removed, and the thread was locked; no moderator explanation for the lock has been established.
What happened in the Reddit post
On February 1, 2025, a player posted in r/NoMansSkyTheGame: “Just found my first gas giants and it happens to be a trans flag :>” The screenshot prompted commenters to discuss the planet’s resemblance to the trans pride flag, celebrate the find, and ask for coordinates. Some also shared possible glyphs and locations.
The resemblance was the community’s interpretation of a procedurally generated planet’s appearance. The available sources do not show that Hello Games intentionally designed this particular gas giant as a trans symbol.
Why gas giants had just appeared
Hello Games announced Worlds Part II on January 29, 2025, saying the update would introduce gas giants. The developer described them as “ten times bigger than our biggest planet” in the game and said they would have huge storms. The February 1 discovery therefore followed the update’s introduction of the feature; the announcement does not connect the specific color pattern to the flag.

What is known about the lock
A secondary report says the discussion became contentious, comments were deleted, and the thread was locked. That report is not a moderator’s account, and no official moderator explanation for the lock is established in the available sources. It would be speculation to assign a reason or to claim that moderators acted because of any particular comment.
The headline’s plural “threads” should also be treated cautiously: the sources cited here describe the moderation of the discussion but do not independently establish multiple locked threads.

Can players visit the planet?
Commenters asked for coordinates and shared possible glyphs and galaxy references, but those details are inconsistent in the Reddit discussion. User comments alone do not verify a location in-game, so there is no definitive coordinate set established here. Anyone trying to find the planet should confirm the galaxy and portal glyphs in the game rather than rely on one unverified comment.
