Yes. No Man’s Sky update 6.0, Voyagers, adds customizable Corvette-class ships that players assemble from modular parts and furnish as places to live and work. Friends can crew a Corvette, walk around inside it, travel between planets and systems, and head out together for missions. The update launched on August 27, 2025.
What Voyagers adds to No Man’s Sky
Voyagers makes a player-built ship more than a vehicle with a cockpit. Hello Games describes Corvettes as habitable, multi-crew starships assembled from hundreds of modules. Players choose the hull sections, wings, landing gear, cockpit, engines, thrusters, corridors, and interior furnishings that shape the ship’s layout and appearance. The developer’s feature description is not an independently audited count of available parts.
To assemble one, use the Corvette Workshop on a space station. Its ship-building interface lets you pan and rotate the view while placing and painting hull plates and connectors. The result is a ship whose silhouette and interior depend on the parts you choose, rather than a fixed prebuilt design.
Can friends walk around inside your ship?
Yes. A Corvette’s interior is a traversable space: its pilot can stand up and move around without leaving the ship, and friends can come aboard as crew. You can add habitation and cockpit modules, windows, and furnishings, including a refiner and nutrition unit.

That changes what a multiplayer ship can do. A Corvette can be a shared base between destinations, not just transport. The crew can travel between planets and star systems, use the mission radar to locate nearby objectives, then go down to a planet to harvest resources, fight, or search for treasure. A teleporter can support an away team, while the Corvette remains a place to regroup.
How to get a Corvette
Don’t expect to assemble one immediately in a brand-new save. Sean Murray, Hello Games’ founder, said Corvettes are “encountered a little way into the game” and that veteran players would be able to unlock them reasonably swiftly. The Corvette community expedition was designed to introduce ship assembly and get participants to the workshop quickly; it was a time-limited launch event, not a permanent shortcut you can assume is available now.

For parts, Hello Games describes two routes: salvage modules from buried containers or exchange them at the Corvette Workshop. The expedition also offered an introduction to assembly and part unlocks, but its availability depends on the current expedition schedule. The official release log later records a 2025 holiday redux that included the Corvette expedition; that entry alone does not establish whether it is playable in October 2026. Choosing a Corvette build
There is no single best design in the official feature description. Build around how you want to use the ship, and balance practical modules against size and appearance.

- Handling and scale: Hello Games says larger, heavier ships handle differently from smaller, lighter builds. Choose the footprint and feel that suit your travel and piloting preferences.
- Combat and performance: Reactors, engines, shields, and weapon components are functional choices that affect ship stats. Consider these if your crew expects trouble on the way to an objective.
- Onboard utility: Habitation, a refiner, nutrition equipment, or a teleporter can make the ship more useful as a base or staging point.
- Appearance: Combine module families and exterior parts for the silhouette you want. Named habitation styles include Thunderbird, Ambassador, and Titan.
- Parts access: Salvaging and workshop exchanges are the stated ways to obtain modules; expedition rewards depend on whether that event returns.
Other Voyagers additions and platform context
Corvettes are the update’s headline feature, but Voyagers also adds a community expedition, a five-piece Skyborn Exosuit customization set, and a Mecha-mouse companion reward. Hello Games also announced graphics features including DLSS 4 for compatible RTX PC players and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution for PS VR2. Those feature announcements do not establish a measured frame-rate gain.
Hello Games’ release log lists Voyagers for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Game Pass. The log records Voyagers patches through version 6.06 and later updates; consult the official release log for current version and platform details rather than treating the launch notes as a live status report.
