What does “missing” mean in NBA 2K26?
A player appearing somewhere in NBA 2K26 does not necessarily mean they are selectable everywhere. 2K describes MyTEAM as a mode for collecting and competing with past and present legends, while MyNBA offers a franchise experience built around historical eras. Those descriptions do not promise that the same historical players are available in MyTEAM, on classic teams, in MyNBA Eras, or as Player DNA.

For a useful status check, specify the mode and the date. A player might be represented by a MyTEAM card without being available on a classic roster; an entry in a historic draft class would not establish availability in another mode. Platform or edition may also matter when checking what a player can access. 2K’s NBA 2K26 features page describes the modes, but it is not a player-by-player roster.
Why aren’t Barkley or Miller in the game?

How to check whether a legend is available now
- Choose the mode you care about. Check MyTEAM, MyNBA or MyNBA Eras, classic teams, historic draft classes, or another specific mode separately.
- Check that mode’s current roster or player collection in your game. Record the platform and the date, since a general online list may not reflect the version you are playing.
- Review the official NBA 2K26 patch notes. A roster-related update could make an older status report outdated.
- Compare like with like. Distinguish a verified appearance in one mode from a community-reported absence in most modes; neither establishes availability or absence everywhere.
