In launch-era testing, however, it was often slower and poorer value than AMD’s Radeon RX 570. Its 75W rating also did not guarantee that every board could run without a PCIe power cable. The benchmarks and price comparisons below are from 2019; they do not establish how the card performs or what it costs today.
What is the GTX 1650?
The original desktop GTX 1650 is based on NVIDIA’s TU117 GPU, manufactured on TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process. Tom’s Hardware notes that TU117 lacks the RT and Tensor cores found in higher-end Turing cards. The reference/original GDDR5 configuration reviewed in 2019 has 896 CUDA cores, 4GB of GDDR5 memory, a 128-bit memory bus, 128GB/s of bandwidth and a 75W TDP. Board and memory variants exist, so those figures should not be assumed for every card advertised as a GTX 1650.

For context, Tom’s Hardware’s comparison table lists the GTX 1660 with 1,408 CUDA cores, 6GB GDDR5 and a 192-bit bus, and the GTX 1660 Ti with 1,536 cores, 6GB GDDR6 and a 192-bit bus. The original GTX 1650 is a substantially narrower entry-level design, not simply a smaller version with equivalent memory capacity.
Can a GTX 1650 run without a power connector?
Sometimes. A 75W board can be designed to draw its power from the PCIe slot, which made some GTX 1650 cards useful upgrades for prebuilt systems with limited power supplies. But 75W is the card’s rated power figure, not a guarantee that every partner model is slot-powered. Tom’s Hardware cautioned: “But pay close attention as you shop—some implementations lack a six-pin connector, while others (like ours) require one.” PCWorld likewise described models that avoided supplemental power alongside the wider product family.

#1 Best Overall
- Ultra Compact Size Video Card: The SRhonyra GTX 1650 dual monitors 4GB low-profile video card is merely 5.7 (length)×2.7(width)×0.7(height) inches, which is very compact, slim and smaller, you can fit it in a regulare PC or a small case one, SFF chassis, works great as a 2 monitors multitasking workstation, budget home theater system as HTPC or media source for 2 screens display.
- Native 4K Resolution HDMI Output: Powered entirely by the PCIe 3.0 bus, this SFF graphics card will no require any additional power connectors, able to deliver 4K resolution video stream for both HDMI port, running at 3840×2160 @60Hz (single monitor mode) or 7680×4320 @60Hz (dual-monitor mode), worry-free for decreasing display quality.
- Sturdy & Reliable: SRhonyra GTX 1650 multi monitors video card uses industrial grade SMT components, can extreme temperature fluctuations, have much wider operating temperatures, extend the use time, effectively reducing computer purchase cycles and saving the corporation money on a long-term basis on projects like digital signage, led billboard, securities multi-monitors display.
- Blower Style Cooling Method: This Nvidia GTX 1650 4GB LP graphics card made by SRhonyra features blower style cooling method, which expel all their heat directly out of the case instead of releasing it inside the case,so the heat will dissipate quickly, especially useful in small form factor cases, keeping your mini desktop PC cool, ensuring its high performance stably.
- Wide OS Support & Low Power Consumption: This multiple monitors graphics card works well with Windows 11,Windows 10 64bit,Windows 7 64bit,Linux aarch64,Linux 64bit and FreeBSD x64, with a excellent level of 60 Watts under full load.
Before buying, check the exact board’s product listing and physical dimensions rather than relying on the GPU name. Confirm its required PCIe power connector, length, slot width, display outputs and clearance in your case. If your system has no spare PCIe power lead, a card that requires one is not a drop-in choice.
Is the GTX 1650 good for gaming?
It was capable of 1080p gaming, but launch reviews found highly game-dependent results. TechSpot’s April 23, 2019 review tested a dozen games at 1080p on its own system, with its drivers, game versions and settings. In that suite, the RX 570 led by 38% in World War Z, 27% in The Division 2, 21% in Forza Horizon 4, 30% in Resident Evil 2 and 18% in Far Cry New Dawn. Results were much closer in Apex Legends and Metro Exodus, while the GTX 1650 won in Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege.
Across its comparison, TechSpot put the RX 570 about 10% ahead on average. That is a summary of one 2019 test suite, not a universal ranking across all games, settings or later software. It also cannot predict performance in current games: the tested titles, game builds, drivers and market context are from the card’s launch period.

- New Turing Architecture GPU: Built on TU116-400,12nm,an all-new graphics processor that incorporates Turing’s improved shaders, 9% disparity in CUDA cores than 1660 Super, its unified cache architecture, support for adaptive shading, and a full complement of video encode/decode acceleration features.
- Powerful Gaming Graphics Card: This SRhonyra GTX 1660 Ti video card is paired up to GDDR6 memory, just like the higher-end GeForce RTX 20-series models, connected using a 192-bit memory interface, did everything you need it to do it can run most games @1080P.
- Good GPU for Quad Setup: This SRhonyra GTX 1660Ti video card has 4 ports including 1×HDMI 2.0, 3×DisplayPort 1.4, good for a quad setup while connecting 4 monitors simultaneously, giving you more screen real estate, increasing your productivity for video editing, photoshop or 3D modeling while still navigating web pages on the computer.
- Quiet Cooling Performance: Paired with two semi-automatic intelligent fans, noise levels are great while gaming, you barely can hear the card spinning. Fans aren't even noticable even when the card is maxed. It is a excellent card with great tempt and performance.
- Max 150W TDP: This GTX 1660Ti 6gb video card is dual-slot wideth, takes PCIe 3.0×16 lane and also draws power from a 6-pin PCIe connector. Please make sure your PSU is minimum 400 Watts to match the requirement.
GTX 1650 vs RX 570: which was faster?
In TechSpot’s 2019 comparison, the RX 570 was faster by about 10% on average, with substantial variation by game. At the time, TechSpot also judged the GTX 1650 to be around 15% more expensive in the market it surveyed; PCWorld reported the GTX 1650’s $149 launch price and RX 570 cards around $130–$140 in that launch-era market. These are historical figures, not current prices or a present-day value verdict.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What did the GTX 1650 cost at launch?
NVIDIA’s launch price for the GTX 1650 was $149 in April 2019. Contemporary comparisons treated that as a difficult proposition beside cheaper RX 570 cards and the RX 570’s stronger average performance in TechSpot’s tests. The amount and value judgment belong to the 2019 launch market; they say nothing about a card’s current new or used price.

Is the GTX 1650 the same as the GTX 1650 SUPER?
No. NVIDIA announced the GTX 1650 SUPER as a separate product in November 2019, after the standard GTX 1650’s launch. Keep its specifications and benchmark results distinct from those of the original GTX 1650. A listing should be checked for the full model name and the specific board and memory configuration; “1650” and “1650 SUPER” are not interchangeable labels.
What to check before buying one now
The 2019 evidence can explain the original card’s design and launch performance, but it does not establish present-day availability, regional prices, used-card condition or performance in newer games. Assess a specific listing on its own terms:
