The Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti shipping-manifest leak was substantially accurate, but it revealed less than the headlines suggested. A listing associated with Nvidia’s PG152 board family pointed to GB206 silicon, GDDR7 memory, and a 128-bit memory bus. It also helped connect the board family with 8GB and 16GB RTX 5060 Ti models.
However, a shipping manifest was not a complete Nvidia specification sheet. Clock speeds, performance, pricing, availability, and the final launch date came from separate leaks or Nvidia’s later announcement. The RTX 5060 Ti ultimately launched on April 16, 2025, starting at $379 for 8GB and $429 for 16GB.

That was meaningful evidence because it linked internal hardware identifiers with the memory technology and bus width expected for the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060. It was still leak evidence rather than official confirmation. The original report is available at VideoCardz.

RTX 5060 Ti specifications: leak versus final product
Earlier unofficial reports attributed a more complete specification to the RTX 5060 Ti, including the GB206-300 chip, 4,608 CUDA cores, 28Gbps memory, 448GB/s of bandwidth, and approximately 180W of board power. Some reports also listed a roughly 2,407MHz base clock and 2,572MHz boost clock.
Those clock figures should be treated as reported leak data, not as information directly proven by the manifest. Nvidia and board partners later confirmed the major hardware configuration.
| Specification | RTX 5060 Ti |
|---|---|
| Architecture | Nvidia Blackwell |
| GPU | GB206-300 |
| CUDA cores | 4,608 |
| Memory | 8GB or 16GB GDDR7 |
| Memory speed | 28Gbps |
| Memory bus | 128-bit |
| Theoretical bandwidth | 448GB/s |
| Board power | 180W |
| Launch date | April 16, 2025 |
| Launch MSRP | $379 for 8GB; $429 for 16GB |
Earlier leak coverage came from reports at Tom’s Hardware and Tom’s Hardware. Nvidia later confirmed the memory capacities, launch pricing, date, and feature positioning in its official RTX 5060 family announcement.
Why the 128-bit bus was not necessarily bad news
The 128-bit bus remained the most controversial part of the leak. Compared with higher-end graphics cards, it sounds narrow. But bus width cannot be evaluated independently from memory speed and the rest of the memory subsystem.
The RTX 5060 Ti’s 28Gbps GDDR7 produces approximately 448GB/s of theoretical bandwidth. The RTX 4060 Ti also used a 128-bit bus, but its slower GDDR6 memory delivered approximately 288GB/s. That represents roughly a 55.6% increase in theoretical bandwidth without widening the interface.

This does not mean games automatically run 55.6% faster. Real performance depends on shader throughput, cache behavior, the game engine, resolution, texture requirements, ray tracing, drivers, and whether upscaling or frame generation is enabled. The useful takeaway is that the RTX 5060 Ti’s 128-bit interface is paired with much faster memory rather than being directly comparable to the older card’s configuration.
8GB versus 16GB: which RTX 5060 Ti makes more sense?
Nvidia launched the RTX 5060 Ti in both 8GB and 16GB configurations. The two versions are generally based on the same GPU configuration, so the extra memory does not double shader performance or guarantee twice the frame rate.

- You mainly play at 1080p.
- You play esports titles or less demanding games.
- The card is substantially cheaper than the 16GB model.
- You expect to replace the GPU relatively soon.
- You are comfortable reducing texture settings when necessary.
Choose 16GB when:
- You want more headroom for long-term ownership.
- You play at 1440p with high texture settings.
- You use demanding ray tracing, large texture packs, or mods.
- You edit video, work in 3D applications, or run local AI workloads that benefit from additional VRAM.
More VRAM mainly helps prevent capacity-related problems such as texture reductions, stuttering, or failed allocations. If the GPU’s compute performance is already the limiting factor, the 16GB version may deliver little or no extra frame rate. Conversely, an 8GB card can become constrained even when its core still has enough performance for a higher texture setting.

The generational case for the RTX 5060 Ti rests on more than its CUDA-core count. It combines the newer Blackwell architecture with GDDR7, higher theoretical memory bandwidth, and support for Nvidia’s DLSS 4 feature set, ray tracing, neural rendering, and Reflex.
Nvidia claimed selected games could see frame rates double against the RTX 4060 Ti when using DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation, and cited improvements of about 20% in examples without Multi Frame Generation. These are Nvidia’s own workload-specific promotional claims, not a guarantee for every game or for native rendering.

When comparing an RTX 5060 Ti with another graphics card, check whether the result uses:
Recommended Free Tools
- Native or upscaled resolution
- The selected DLSS mode
- Ray tracing settings
- Frame generation or Multi Frame Generation
- The traditionally rendered base frame rate
- Latency measurements
Generated frames can raise the displayed frame-rate counter, but they are not equivalent to the same number of traditionally rendered frames. A headline result using Multi Frame Generation should not be treated as a native-rendering result or generalized to games that do not support the feature.

The RTX 5060 Ti is rated around 180W, well below Nvidia’s highest-end RTX 50-series cards but high enough that buyers should check the complete system rather than relying only on the GPU name.
Connector and power-supply requirements vary between add-in-board models. For example, MSI lists one RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Vanguard model with a 16-pin power connector, an ATX 3.1 recommendation, and a 600W recommended PSU. That model also lists 337mm length and 61mm thickness, making it a poor fit for some compact cases. These specifications apply to that MSI card, not automatically to every RTX 5060 Ti. Check the manufacturer’s page before buying; MSI’s specifications are available here.
That MSI implementation also uses a PCIe Gen 5 x16 physical connector while operating with an x8 link. On a modern PCIe 5.0 platform this is not automatically a problem, but users with older PCIe generations or unusual motherboard configurations should verify compatibility for the exact card.

What the manifest did not prove
The shipping document did not independently establish:
- Final retail clock speeds
- Benchmark performance in specific games
- MSRP or regional pricing
- The exact launch date
- Availability in every country
- The design, dimensions, or connector of every partner card
- Whether Nvidia would release a Founders Edition
- Actual launch supply
- Whether the 8GB model would perform identically in VRAM-limited games
A manifest can be authentic and still be incomplete, misclassified, or subject to product changes before retail launch. In this case, later product information largely matched the important memory and GPU details, but that does not retroactively turn the manifest into a complete official announcement.
RTX 5060 Ti launch timeline
- April 7, 2025: The shipping-manifest report was published.
- April 15, 2025: Nvidia announced the RTX 5060 family.
- April 16, 2025: The RTX 5060 Ti launched.
- May 2025: Nvidia scheduled the RTX 5060 desktop card and RTX 5060 laptops to follow.
The final RTX 5060 Ti launch prices were $379 starting price for the 8GB model and $429 for 16GB. Those are 2025 MSRPs, not guaranteed August 2026 street prices. Current value depends on retailer pricing, regional availability, competing Radeon cards, and the price gap between the two memory versions.
Should you buy the RTX 5060 Ti?
The 16GB model is the safer choice for buyers who want to keep the card for several years, play demanding games at 1440p, or use large textures, mods, creative applications, or local AI tools. The 8GB version is easier to justify for a lower-cost 1080p system when it is meaningfully cheaper and the buyer accepts more frequent texture compromises.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Before choosing a specific card, compare the current price with faster 12GB or 16GB alternatives, then check case clearance, card thickness, connector requirements, PSU capacity, warranty, and factory-overclock pricing. A large premium for a heavily overclocked model may not deliver proportional value, while an 8GB model priced close to a stronger or higher-capacity alternative is difficult to recommend.
The manifest’s most important implication was therefore not that Nvidia had produced an unusually wide memory interface. It was that a 128-bit bus would be paired with fast GDDR7 and, crucially, a 16GB option in the midrange RTX 50-series family.
