Why the colors matter
Connections gives players 16 words to divide into four groups of four. Its difficulty colors run from yellow, the most straightforward, through green and blue, to purple, the trickiest. These are the game’s general difficulty rankings, not a measure of how difficult every player will find this particular board.

A word can appear to fit more than one possible connection, so consider alternate associations before submitting a set. The game tutorial advises: “Watch out for words that seem to belong to multiple categories!” For this puzzle, test whether a candidate belongs with a location description, a letter’s contents or materials, text found on a door, or a constitutional freedom before locking in a group.
