How the puzzle works
Connections presents 16 words and asks you to sort them into four groups of four that share a common link. The groups are color-coded Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple, from easiest to trickiest, and the New York Times says each puzzle has one solution. Some words may seem to fit more than one idea, which is part of the challenge. See the NYT Help Center’s Connections guidance for game rules and access details.
