Full answers for Connections #817
Spoilers ahead: This section gives the complete groups and all 16 tiles.
#1 Best Overall
| Color | Category | Words |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | PIQUANCY | KICK, PUNCH, ZEST, ZING |
| Green | AVAILABLE | FREE, SINGLE, SOLO, STAG |
| Blue | MALE ANIMALS | BILLY, BUCK, JACK, RAM |
| Purple | CHINESE DYNASTIES | HAN, MING, SONG, TANG |
Why STAG is the tricky tile
STAG can point toward a male animal, but it belongs with FREE, SINGLE, and SOLO in AVAILABLE. In this group, each word can describe being unaccompanied or available. The animal interpretation is the tempting overlap.
