CALM, QUIET, SLEEPY, SLOW. Each can describe a subdued place or pace.
Green — Earn
GROSS, MAKE, NET, YIELD. Each can describe producing or receiving income or returns.

HOME, MUTE, STOP, VOLUME. These are functions or buttons found on a remote control.
Purple — Words before “drum”
EAR, KETTLE, OIL, SNARE. Put “drum” after each word to make the familiar phrases ear drum, kettle drum, oil drum, and snare drum.
Why the groupings can be tricky
Some words may suggest more than one possible connection at first glance. Focus on the shared relationship across all four words in a group: the subdued descriptions, earning terms, remote functions, and phrase completions each account for a complete set of four.
