Why the board can be tricky
Some words seem to fit more than one theme at first. BOLT may look like hardware, while ROD may suggest fishing gear; in the solution, they belong to the “LIGHTNING ___” group. Compare all four words in a possible set before submitting it.

How Connections works
Connections asks you to sort 16 words into four groups of four based on a shared feature. TechRadar’s June 19, 2024 guide says players can make up to four mistakes and that the game is playable free through NYT Games on desktop or mobile; access details may change. The archived June 20 board can also be solved from its word list without any physical product.
