How the groups fit together
Yellow: dental additions
A bridge, crown, filling and veneer are all dental restorations or additions. The terms are familiar, but some also have other everyday meanings, which can make them look like they belong elsewhere.
#1 Best Overall
Green: dramatic, chaotic events
A circus, roller coaster, soap opera or whirlwind can describe an experience that is noisy, unpredictable or emotionally intense. The connection is figurative rather than a shared literal object.
Blue: second words in David Lynch titles
Drive, Highway, Peaks and Velvet complete the titles Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway, Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet.
Rank #2
Purple: meanings or referents of “jet”
Jet can refer to an airplane, black (as in jet-black), a hot tub nozzle, or an NFL player whose team identity is a Jet. This group relies on distinct senses and uses of the same word, rather than one shared category.

Why this puzzle can be tricky
Several words have plausible associations outside their intended group. Connections asks for the four sets that best account for all 16 entries, not proof that each word has only one possible association. Checking whether a proposed set has exactly four words—and whether it leaves a coherent set behind—can help catch an attractive but incomplete pattern.

Connections #750 is a historical puzzle dated June 30, 2025, not necessarily the puzzle served on June 30 in another year. TechRadar notes that a new puzzle appears at midnight in each time zone, which can explain why a guide published the evening before may refer to the next calendar date: TechRadar’s June 30, 2025 guide. The completed groups are also listed by Wordhint and Parade. The answer key is corroborated by these secondary archives; an official NYT explanation of the group construction was not located.
