  • Yellow — DISTURB: ALARM, CONCERN, RATTLE, SHAKE
  • Green — WORDS ON A MONOPOLY BOARD: BOARDWALK, CHANCE, LUXURY, PARKING
  • Blue — FIGURE IN GREEK MYTH: FATE, FURY, MUSE, SIREN
  • Purple — EGG ___: CARTON, NOODLE, ROLL, TIMER

Why the groups fit

Yellow: DISTURB

ALARM, CONCERN, RATTLE, and SHAKE can each mean to disturb or unsettle someone. The words span different uses, which can make the shared sense less obvious at first glance.

Green: WORDS ON A MONOPOLY BOARD

BOARDWALK and PARKING appear in familiar board spaces, while CHANCE and LUXURY point to board labels such as Chance and Luxury Tax. The connection is Monopoly vocabulary rather than four interchangeable types of property.

Blue: FIGURE IN GREEK MYTH

FATE, FURY, MUSE, and SIREN each refer to a figure or class of figures in Greek mythology. The words also have familiar meanings outside mythology, so the category depends on reading them in that mythological sense.

Purple: EGG ___

Put EGG before each tile to make EGG CARTON, EGG NOODLE, EGG ROLL, and EGG TIMER. The completed phrases are the link.

What to know about this puzzle

Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four based on a shared feature. TechRadar’s guide says players can make up to four mistakes and describes free play through NYT Games on desktop or mobile; those gameplay and access details are reported by that guide, rather than verified here against a current NYT rules page.

PC Guide reports a difficulty rating of 2.8 out of 5, attributing it to NYT. Treat that as a rating reported by PC Guide, not an independently confirmed score.
