How Connections works
Connections presents 16 words, phrases, symbols, or numbers for sorting into four groups of four. The colors indicate relative difficulty: yellow is generally easiest and purple generally hardest, though the order may not match every player’s experience. The cited rules coverage reports that players can make three incorrect guesses before a fourth ends the game. See Forbes’ explanation of the game rules for its account of the mechanics.
