Hints for Connections #494
Connections asks you to sort 16 words into four groups of four that share a property. The groups are color-coded by difficulty, and wordplay can disguise a category. You can make up to four mistakes.

Why the tricky words fit
FIELD belongs with the “deal with” verbs
FIELD can look like a match for GREEN, LAWN, PARK, and YARD because it is associated with open ground. Here, it means to deal with or address something, alongside ADDRESS, ANSWER, and HANDLE.
The blue words need an S restored
Add an S to each word to reveal the movie titles Cars, Goodfellas, Jaws, and Swingers. GOODFELLA is a useful clue to the missing-letter pattern.
The purple words complete expressions ending in “law”
The four phrases are criminal law, Harvard Law, lemon law, and natural law. LEMON is part of “lemon law” here, not a reference to the fruit.
