How Connections works

Forbes describes Connections as a 16-word grid to divide into four groups of four by finding the links between the words. Words can appear to fit more than one category, and players can shuffle the grid while solving; four incorrect guesses end the game, according to Forbes’ August 2025 description. See its [game explanation].
