Where to play the Mini or find past puzzles
The New York Times says subscribers with Games access can play The Mini on the web, in the NYT Games app, or in the News app. In the archive, select Mini and navigate to the desired month and year; Games and All Access subscribers have archive access, while access is limited without either subscription. The NYT help page also explains that the puzzle uses crossing Across and Down answers, and in-game help can check or reveal a square, an answer, or the whole puzzle. According to NYT help, the daily Mini becomes available the prior evening: at 10 p.m. EST for weekday and Saturday puzzles, and at 6 p.m. EST Saturday for Sunday puzzles.
