Hints for Strands #56
The theme “Coming clean” points to things you might use in a shower. TechRadar’s hint for the spangram was “Water fall.” Its reported route starts at the left edge on the third row and ends at the right edge on the fourth row. These are clues for the archived board, not official wording attributed to the puzzle setter. TechRadar’s April 27, 2024 guide also listed DIET, WORSE, POEM, DITCH, WIDEN, and WATCH as words that unlock in-game hints.

How Strands hints work
Strands is a themed word-search puzzle: trace connected letters in any direction, without reusing or crossing letters. The spangram describes the theme, touches the left and right edges, and is highlighted differently from the regular theme words. In the game, finding three non-theme words of at least four letters unlocks a hint that reveals one theme word, according to Try Hard Guides.
