How Strands hints work
Strands uses a six-by-eight letter grid. Connect adjacent letters vertically, horizontally, or diagonally; a word can change direction as you trace it. Theme words turn blue when found, while the spangram turns yellow and connects opposite sides of the board. The puzzle uses every grid letter once across its theme words and spangram.

To earn an in-game hint, find three valid non-theme words of at least four letters. The hint highlights the letters of an unsolved theme word.
