How the answers fit the theme
The six theme words make three antonym pairs: BOLD and TIMID, NOISY and QUIET, and RIGID and FLEXIBLE. The spangram, OPPOSITESATTRACT, captures the idea behind the pairs and spans the board.
How Strands hints work
Strands is played on a 6-by-8 board of 48 letters. Trace theme words through adjacent letters; the spangram connects opposite sides of the board and captures the theme. As described by secondary guides, finding three valid non-theme words of at least four letters earns an in-game hint that highlights the letters of a theme word.
