NYT Strands hints for September 2
- Theme: “Things are starting to take shape.”
- Gentle hint: Think of ideas connected with math.
- Spangram length: 13 letters, not counting the space.
- Board clue: The spangram runs from the top edge at the third column to the bottom edge at the third column.
Parade’s account of the New York Times rules says to find theme words to fill the board. The spangram describes the theme, touches two opposite sides, and may consist of two words. Finding every three non-theme words earns a hint. Parade’s September 2 guide presents these as NYT game rules.
